A place that I wouldn't mind growing up in.

Tucked away in the northwest corner of Iran is the quaint and mysterious thirteenth century village of Kandovan. Located in Iran's East Azerbaijan Province, Kandovan is 60 km south of the provincial capital Tabriz in Osku county.

What makes Kandovan village so unique is that many of its homes have been made in caves located in cone-shaped, naturally formed compressed volcanic ash formations that make the landscape look like a gigantic termite colony.

I wouldn't mind living there. Looks peaceful.

The Kandova Village is approximately 700 years old which was said by the people who live there. And was also inhabited by people fleeing from a Mongolian Army, and used as a place to hid.

The nerd in me is screaming at me to say this ... It looks like a place where you would find a young jedi named Anakin Skywalker... Do they hold pod races? Where are all the robots and spaceships? I would love to see someone in a darth vader costume.

Really cool find though the architecture is so unique.

How weird--I honestly thought of Star Wars too. Strange we all did.

It also remind me of a place in Turkey where very old caves are carved out in the rocks and still used as homes.
Neat find.

Yeah it is amazing isn't it? But I don't think using them for "target practice" is. Nature created those
