Ok this has to be one of the most craziest things I have ever seen. Ok I am lying people but its still weird. If this was my spider crab it would
have done it while I was sleeping. Enjoy.
S&F for you! Thanks for posting one of the most interesting videos I have seen for a long time. I must say though, it looks extremely painful. I
wonder if it is, or if this crab just has some extreme dexterity?
i suppose it's just something we take for granted because we don't have exoskeletons, so we don't have to shed like that
my tarantula does the same thing per year, of course her exoskeleton is mainly built up on protein bonds, rather than the calcium build up that makes
crustaceans exoskeletons, but the process is not much different i'm sure
you're right it is pretty weird, but it's absolutely amazing and beautiful when it happens, when any organism completes the process
here's one of a tarantula going through the same process (usually done upside down), not mine though just some youtuber
