In the news, the financial reform has reach and agreement overnight but it has not been passed yet

So the conference could be something else. . .

Well he is speaking now is all about the financial reform after all, just chit chat about how hard the government is working on the reform.

And also something about the G20, congratulating the people that stay late at night on the issue, nothing but blah, blah.

BTW, the reform will increased fees on bank accounts to consumers.

"The people who get hurt are everybody else," Bove said, adding that banks might resort to measures such as putting charges of $12 to $15 on bank accounts to make up for the costs of the new laws.

That's laughable. Watch the bank stocks today, they're already up about 2% on the news even before the open and in face of lower than expected GDP numbers. Banks suckered the public again and are quite literally laughing all the way to the bank.

Was a press conference really in order when the bill hasn't even passed yet?

Can we say.. deflection? or a poor attempt anyway..
