JBL -

Sorry to hear about the loss - and It's apparent that your 'smarts' paid off with the stuff it job.

I'd just like to recommend a couple of things...

1. don't pay much attention to all the huffers and puffers around here... some of them are actually government plants - like has been mentioned - be careful what you say until youre ready to tell it like it is.

2. work hard and fast on your report. forget everything else - just go to a secret location and DO IT!

To ATS: I personally think JBL was threatened somehow, and his disclosure that he has backups is his way of buying himself some time from the watchers...

Not to mention this: if He has info that's proprietary and concealed in nature, he may actually be looking to profit from it. Hey, who can blame him, everybody and thier grandmother does it...

Actually I think that you are correct. That "down hole" thread was very informative. I also think it is very possibly a set up of some kind.
I just can't put my finger on it.

The name used for referring to the Police as "State Police" keeps me wondering. I am in Ohio and nobody here calls Troopers or local police "State Police" It's either just "Police", "Cops" or "Highway patrol" and "Deputy"

Do you know what parts of the USA call Police "State Police"? Reason I ask is because it seems strange to me and I saw a thread with a video where the guy claimed to be harassed by the "State Police".

It may be a common colloquialism in some parts of the country. I just don't know.Help me out here please. Here is the thread in which the filmer uses "State Police"

www.abovetopsecret.com...

I realize that jeffry said he is not from the USA but I find the use of "State Police" odd. If it's use is common in certain parts of the country,Please forgive my ignorance of local colloquialism's.

I live in Virginia and I have always heard them referred to as State Troopers.

But unlike policemen, state troopers don't have balls

Don't be using that laptop now after the spooks have had their hands upon it without erasing everything, reloading the OS (even the BIOS if it's update-able). If you use it to connect to the internet, also change the MAC address on your ethernet card. Check the screws to see if they opened it up and put something inside too. Better yet, just toss it in the trash (or give it to someone you don't like, ha) and get a clean one .. and as always, pay cash, don't leave your name associated with the purchase, and don't use your previous OS license key either! Start clean. Oh, and if you make a backup of the stuff on it before tossing it away, never reload any executables from your old compromised system onto your new system. And also, if you connect via wi-fi at home, change the name and password on your router. Also change all your passwords on every site you've used that computer with too.

Let me ask some questions! Ill be polite though....

1) Why do you use the name bin laden. Are you related to the other more well known bin laden? If so then I think your "arrest" might be warranted.

2) What is this report you are doing? What qualifies you to do a report? If you're not from "here" meaning the US and English is not your forte as you put it...then are you a SPY? IF so then again your arrest is warranted. And you would be the worst spy in history by telling the few hundred people on ATS what you are upto. Next time keep it under your hat.

3) Why can you not talk about it? What is stopping you? Have you been "gagged" for National Security? State security? County Security? Street Security? House on Street security? No security? If what you are saying is true then let it out mate. Its half out now. I get suspicious when people have a "story" they can't tell but tell everyone they have a story they can't tell.

4) So your "report" is due in August? As English is not your forte (as you say), what language will you be releasing this report in? So due in August!! Are you going in hiding? If so may I recommend you do not tell everyone where that will be! It could force the police into coming to see you and arresting you again...so be careful!
(May I also recommend that you do not hide out with Julian Assange as if one of you is caught the other is likely to be caught to and then NO ONE gets any info!! )

5) Did you have porn on your laptop? I hope they did not delete that. All that bandwidth down the pan. If they did delete it I would like to ask why? Was it Step-sisters 2: caught in the act? That's a good one mate!!

7) When the police arrested you.....did they pat you down? If so did they do it head to toe OR toe to head. And your lady friend......this too me is a very weird expression.....does this mean that you normally have only male friends?

final Question my friend!!

6) When this report is due in August, should I take a day off work? Could this report potentially disclose something that could get me banned from the MMS website. Could it lead me to think that the whole truth is not being told? Could this tarnish my view on BP and all those connected with the oil spill. Or is this report on actual minerals and nothing to do with the oil spill.

Thank you and please answer when you can.

After the dougr C&P thread started on ats I told everyone how I sniped a bunch of MMS PDF files documenting blow-outs non-inspections and multiple violations at the same drilling platforms. So I started a detailed report on MMS, all of a sudden my isp cut me off and I was visited by a State Police interdiction task force????? arrested and both my laptops seized as evidence????

and so I have no further comment the report i'm preparing will speak for itself.

Personally I find this post very suspicious indeed. Why would anyone go on a site and say they stole a bunch of files? Especially before they were ready to publish them? Wouldn't you wait so you could create more damage?

That makes believe this is either made up or some kind of smoke screen to maybe get at some people who did do it. Seeing if they will bite at this.

Very suspicious indeed.

Hrm. I remember reading some of your threads and you have given me no reason to doubt this story. So, if it is true, I doubt your methods and offer the following.

I'm skeptical at ATS being your only destination outlet for your questionable materials and YOUR computers being the only place they are kept. Decentralized backups my friend.

If what you're saying is sincere and containment is the operation, the more incriminating the evidence, the more encrypted copies you need in separate geographical locations.

Spam the hardcopy materials you have to every main stream news source as well as cc wikileaks in case CNN doesn't want to get their hands dirty. One of them is bound to run it with the hatred towards MMS lately and the known corruption found therein.

You cannot contain the information once that is done, so maybe they'll leave you alone. Once the damage is done, there's no incentive to chase you down.

I'm so angry at the thought of people HIDING their mistakes. So angry and so tired of the lies and deceit and the getting away with murder - literally.

Disperse the information. If your story is true.

I want the 7 minutes and 42 seconds of my life back, that I wasted reading this entire thread. You, my friend, are full of crap. And the rest of this post hardly provided the paper you'd need to wipe with.

Obvious farmer is obviously farming.

Cheers,

OP if you got ahold of the Mud Log data by any chance you need to send it to Richard Hoagland, he's keenly interested in obtaining that information.

Thats a pretty big call for someone who has only been here 10 days

Ive been here almost 3 years now, and have seen many a poster follow the same trend as the OP, and have seen those same posters, fail to provide the ATS community with nothing but lies and rubbish. Judging by JBL's posts and the numerous contradictions and holes in his posts, I can only assume he is another of these posters. If Im wrong, then fine....I will apologise, but as of yet...myself and other long standing members havent been.

By the way, just because someone disagrees with a conspiracy, does not mean they are government operatives. Its a pretty weak argument, often used when all other arguments are exhausted

So you were raided for your laptop because of some stuff you downloaded and you thought the smart thing to do would be to show up on the same website and proclaim that you still have the information only it's backed up on an external hard drive.

If you have these files i suggest you head on over to wikileaks, or even just upload them to rapidshare and post us a link or something. A ton of ATS members would be grabbing those files once someone deemed them safe and they would never go missing again.

If you do indeed have some interesting information then please go and pay for an encrypted VPN connection, they're not expensive. After doing that create an anonymous email account (with the VPN connected). Use that to sign up for every file upload service you can, the free ones. Keep encrypted copies on all of those services. Doing this means the police will not know where they are and you can always give one up to make it seem like you are cooperating. This is really basic stuff when dealing with this kind of issue.

Still i find it deeply suspicious that you would claim your stuff was taken and then return to the website to say you still have it and because of this i'm just not believing the story. Anyone who had just been shaken up by such a thing would keep their head down and work on the files in private, then release them to every source they could find.

Also, when you are from neighboring countries to the US, especially to the north of it, you may sometimes refer to them as state police as well...

as in " watch out while driving fast once you're in the US, the state police are everywhere".

In Michigan, 'State Police' is printed right on the side of the vehicles... I have never heard them called much else.
