Very simple, we the American people do not have enemies in Iraq and neither in Afghanistan.

I'd like to buy you a plane ticket over there, and you can march around with an American flag and a big smiley face T-shirt, spreading the good news. You'll find out very quickly that you DO have enemies in Iraq and Iran and Afghanistan.

For your information, American troops are being targeted every day in Afghanistan, and are dying over there — so much for the "no enemies" argument.

The Iraqi people, Afghanistan people are not the enemy of the America people.

Who said they were? The USA isn't over there waging war against the civilian population — we're trying to shut down the goddamned Taliban, a known supporter of international terrorism, as well as the insurgents who are trying to destroy the newly-formed Iraqi state.

So, your answer would be, "Pull our troops out of the Middle East, stop killing babies, and give peace a chance. Let Iraq and Afghanistan deal with the terrorists. We have no business and no security interests over there."

Well, Marg, you're wrong on all counts. We're NOT waging war on the Iraqi or Afghan people, we DO have friends and business partners over there, and we DO have security interests there — we are legally bound to protecting our allies in the region from any threat posed by hostile nations. Legally bound...as in treaty-bound. That makes it our business.

No, when the SHTF on 911 and the Taliban boasted of giving Al Qaeda safehaven, we had every right to go in there and kick the living hell out of them. Nobody on Earth objected to our invading Afghanistan in the days following 911. It was a green light.

The only problem was, we had a pussy in the White House and a bunch of socialists in Congress who mishandled and thwarted our own progress in Afghanistan and Iraq.

If had been me, I would have nuked Afghanistan on Day One, nuked Iraq on Day Two, nuked Iran on Day Three, then nuked the hell out of North Korea on Day Four, just in case anyone had any questions about my intent.

While George W. Bush was talking about the "Axis of Evil," I would have evaporated the Axis of Evil without so much as 5 minutes warning.

So, count yourself lucky that you don't live under MY administration. I'd straighten this whole mess out but quick.

they will just use this system on American citizens just like they used the LRAD system on the G20 protesters. (ME!)

LRAD was also tested in Afghanistan.

Bummer isnt it? testing out weapons to quell future dissent.

I find it a tad amusing that people rant and protest the deaths resulting from America soldiers being stationed in the Middle East, but then rant and protest the use of non-lethal weapon experiments that would attempt to minimize the first issue. So what would you rather have, eh?

Deployment of weapons purposely made to kill the enemy or deployment of non-lethal weapons that may only kill in extreme situations?

Silly me, thank you for correcting me that Josef Mengle was right in what he did.

I've got news for you, sweetheart — If Josef Mengele had discovered a cure for, I dunno, lung cancer or heart disease, you would be making excuses and cheering his twisted experiments.

Look at Werner von Braun... This fekking Nazi devised the first autonomous, ultra-long range weapons delivery systems with advanced gyroscopic guidance — the extraordinary V2 rockets. Although fewer Brits actually died from von Braun's guided missiles than the number of laborers who died building them, God only knows how many Brits cowered in terror as the Nazi rockets fell out of the sky on London.

But, wait... Was the Nazi mastermind Werner von Braun brought up on charges of crimes against humanity and convicted and sentenced to death at Nuremberg?

No. Von Braun was immediately hired by the U.S. Government and became the HEAD of America's rocket program, making our entire man-in-space program a reality.

See, if you build a better mouse trap, it doesn't matter how many people you murder or mutilate or terrorize. The technology absolves you of all wrongdoing.

So, if Josef Mengele had discovered anything that significantly advanced the medical sciences, he would be an American hero right now, like Werner von Braun, all sins forgiven, no matter how heinous.

Agreed. Let's focus on the corporations...

Finally. I've always said that the only proper testing ground for our weapons prototypes is in the field, in active combat, where it counts. It's ridiculous to test secret weapons on your own personnel or on hapless pigs and goats tethered to stakes in the New Mexico desert for 15 years, in preparation for unleashing this "new" technology against your enemies.

I say, test the damned equipment on your enemies first. Where else do the results count more?

This post simply brings to light the notion of "what goes around comes around".

and when it comes back to you America, you better be ready, because America is still ignorant in regards to America's actions.

That being said, America, learn about how you tortured, because it is gonna come back to haunt you, learn about how you killed, how you stole, how you raped, how you committed genocide...

It will come back to haunt you, and when it does, just like you didn't help the Gazans, the world won't help you.

Just like you VETOED another condemnation of Israel, the condemnation of your oppressors will also be VETOED.

You can use that weapon all you like, you are no different than Nazi Germany, you will meet the same fate.

Down with Arrogance, and Ignorance.

Apparently we didn't finish the job.

Things would be very different under MY administration — I'd personally make certain that everyone on Earth knew about American atrocities in vivid detail, with complete video coverage of all the torture, rape, genocide, et cetera. I'd provide these materials most especially to the enemies of America accompanied by a gift card reading: Think twice, chump.

I'd also make certain that thousands of the captured enemy were impaled on pikes and left to rot in the sun for all to see. Call it a deterrent. What worked a thousand years ago will still work today.

That's banned by the Geneva Convention and the LOAC, along with playing Barbra Streisand and Barry Manilow CDs, under the "Fates worse than death" clause.

Forgive me, sometimes I am woefully ignorant of the terrible weapons that man has created to inflict pain and suffering on their fellow man. Perhaps just a little Weird Al Yankovic first to soften them up?

One must wonder if some type of suit could protect from the micro ray.

What about a full tinfoil suit? Ever put that stuff in a microwave?!?!?

Forget the hat, I need the suit.

Here's a reporter getting zapped and describing how it felt-

Just one word for you and will make it in bold letters, American government and our military has no business in Iraq and Afghanistan, plain and simple if you have not learned from you history class what that means then our educational system is really crumbling.

And please stop the rhetoric on the scam of war on terror and the Taliban.

I am too old for that crap.

BTW, I have not business visiting those nation either.

Remember there all sorts of energy weapons, not just using microwave range. Do you not think people will know that people will try and make defenses against these things.

There is absolutely no defense against energy weapons, as it just needs another sort of energy to get to you.

Non lethel weapons have been around for along time now and these things are so much further than we know.

I think most definitely countries like the english are using them at the wc, to help destroy other teams.

On the face of it this is a good thing. It gives the ability to induce a physical deterrent short of a rifle round. While this may be horrible the effects are temporary. Its better to hurt somebody for a while to make them stop than have to blow a hole in their chest.

However, i'd be more worried about its torture applications. How long could anybody stand being staked out naked near one of these emitters? No physical damage, just electricity into controllable persistent all over body pain.....

seem to me, it is very slow to move. and a mob of poeple can be very fast. so you need not too many around. often, when people goes berserk in the street, you have various point of confrontation, so you will need more than one around. but they are costly, i think, so at the end you better around with the good ole water pumps.

from another point of view, if people (eg citizens, taxpayers, electors) are protesting, there is always the choice to listen what are they protesting for. if they are angry, should be a reason. usually you don't have a mob coming from a mental hospital...

I like how people keep insisting that this thing can't kill you because " THEY told me it can't , it's just a deterrent" THEY would never lie to you... right! Guaranteed that if it truly is non-lethal , THEY are working on the lethal version and THEY won't stop till it can pop you like corn from a mile away. This kind of weapon has to much potential for abuse, I bet within 6 months someone leaks a video of, or we will at least hear reports of, people being restrained and subjected to the pain ray for long periods of time."The torture tank" , that's what the idiots in power need.

None of these links has any relevance to ADS. Not one. In fact, most of them are so badly written as to be pointless, but you can't really expect political journalists to write technical articles.

What you've linked are articles which try to address HPM and EMP devices, although all of these seem to have a really difficult time figuring out what's what, at least they're putting unrelated topics in one basket and trying to address them as if they were the same.

But none of them bears any relation to ADS, except that they're both in the general class of DEWs.

And again, as I said before, this is not news.

In fact, as I stated before, at one time there was talk of testing this in the U.S. on U.S. citizens. And use by law enforcement to stop cars with onboard computers.

You sort of need to get a handle on what the difference is between different device types. But those articles aren't going to get you there, for the layman they're unnecessarily confusing, and for someone who actually works on this sort of thing, they're so badly written as to be unreadable.

Personally, I sort of like the M5 MCCM for crowd control, but the only time I've ever seen one used was in training to give you an unforgettable experience in looking for trip wires during an FTX.
