Explosion at Redstone Arsenal

HUNTSVILLE, AL -- There has been an explosion at Building 7352 on the south end of Redstone Arsenal, and medical helicopters are responding to the scene, Redstone Arsenal officials confirmed. According to emergency radio traffic, two MedFlight helicopters have been sent to the scene to transport at least three victims. Early reports indicate a chemical explosion occurred at about 9 a.m. Although the cause is unclear at this time, it appears the explosion was an accident. Redstone officials have called the media to Gate 3 on Redstone Road for a debriefing.
