Obama, as are all politicians, is a liar. The man is a hardcore leftist just look at all the people he has associated with and still associates with. Look at his appointments to his cabinets.

But, again, with regards to my post above, he maybe 'left' in comparison to American politics. However, compared to the rest of the West, in particular Europe and countries with a supposedly 'socialist' background, he's actually 'right wing'. As another poster said, if Obama was happening in the UK, he'd possibly be the most right wing Prime Ministers in living memory (ie since WWII). To actual socialists - and practically everyone else outside America - he is relatively 'right wing'.

It is socialism for the rich, and free markets for the poor. The question we need to wonder is why so many of our politician's don't mind funding large corporations, while defunding the people. I would rather have socialism that funds the peoples basic needs than socialism that gives money to corporations to hire people and do projects at for-profit rates, with bonuses to go around the horn.

But this is the point that many people have been desperately trying to point out for a long time now. 'Socialism' that gives money to corporations isn't socialism by any definition other than a wrong one used by Americans over the last 12 months or so.

Eh, to me this was just stating the obvious. Obama will always be nothing more than a corporate blow bag as far as I'm concerned. The guy has more in common with Mussolini than William Morris in all truth. This will no doubt bring the buzz of the massive hive of the O-bot/Obamanoids.

I can't agree more. The same can be said of both New Labour and the Conservatives in Britain too.

Obama isn't socialist or communist, he is an Obamanist (new word). He is trying to put us on a path to some kind of weird Communist Fascist hybrid state.

I agree, we will then be an "Obamanation" (new word to go with Obamanist).

I agree with you here.

I believe that socialism is for the poor, fascism is for the rich, and free markets is what we have today, but it will only lead to one of the two outcomes, or perhaps a plutocracy, maybe even a new kingdom. Either way, free markets wont last, imo.

Obviously Obama isn't a Socialist. He's just funneled more money towards creating permanent state dependent socialist programs than anyone in history.
