Morning,

If any of you around can you take a picture of the Hvol cam and post it here?
I can't do it as I am at work and don't have the stuff installed on my thin client.

There's a little strange thing, all left of the mountains. First I though it was just a cloud but it's not moving at all for more than an hour now. It looks like a small plume of something. Just to keep track if it remains there.

Nevermind,
all gone now, so probably was a cloud haging around for a good hour.
Quite an amazing view at the moment on Hvol cam.

Good view this morning.
Steaming a bit more than during the week-end.

Anyone has any information or a report about Eyja steaming for more than a week now?

YA know,.. it would be so cool to have a geojob that had you travelin to all these volcano sites just for observance, reporting and recording.
I so took the wrong path

anybody got any thoughts on the large increase in icelandic quakes recently especialy in the far north? IMO its increasing like a wave on a graph.

Someone here is probbably plotting a graph as we speak; if im right would you be so good as to share it

The EQ swarm around the Tjörnes fracture zone shows no sign of abating, instead we now have some larger events with a 3+ and a 4+ today

I know activity in this thread is very low now but I just wanted to put it out there

Many thanks for that.

Yeah I have been watching that thread as well.

I am ashamed to say that until the recent eruption of Eyjafjallajökull that affected UK airspace I tended to think volcanoes happened to others not to me. Amazing pictures on the TV in some far flung country.

It was a wake up call and I now have much more of an interest and realise the global implications on such events and what an incredibly active planet we live on.

Thanks to all of you for keeping us up to date and informed.

Nice view this morning.
Wondering what of all that stuff is just cloud or steam from Eyja.
