I was going to offer you a considerable rebuttal to your post but quickly realized health care in NAZI Germany and gas-chambers have nothing to do with VAT.

The off-topic concept of Hitler being a progressive and wanting to be fair to everyone is selective thinking in ignoring the facts of what he said and what he actually did. Stalin was truly disliked by everyone, including Lenin. He muscled his way to the leadership role, he played a minor part in the overall revolution and espoused few, if any, of the true ideals of communism as envisioned by Lenin.

Short of it is, we have too many that evade taxes and it's not a problem on the lower end of the economic ladder.

No, if you've actually researched it on your own you'll realize Subjective Truth is correct.

This is buzzing on MSM, again.


The white house is researching this. The President's economic advisor, want's to have it concidered..

sounds about as good of a way to put the final nail in our economic coffin as any!!
seriously, weren't they just borrowing money in our names for us and giving it to us in the form of cash for clunkers and the like?? we just weren't buying enough to keep the economy running. they throw out a vat without offering some relief somewhere...well, they are gonna be back to giving us money, to keep the economy running, because, well...we all will be spending more for the stuff, and we don't have magical money trees growing in our back yard that we can go pluck the $100 bills off of like the treasury does! we will be paying more, for less, less sales, less need, less employees working! less money into the tax pool......higher taxes!! nice little cycle, round and round we go!!

they need to go through that danged budget and start slicing, consolidating, and trimming!

If they institute a VAT tax, you will see a HUGE underground economy sprout up. That will include the smuggling of goods from other countries, that don't have a VAT tax into the US, with organized crime selling goods, rather than drugs. There will be a much bigger profit there. There is no way to stop such activity, unless Obama hires 10,000,000 government agents to police all goods sold.
Of course, in addition, a VAT tax will KILL any chance of the economy recovering. Perhaps that is EXACTLY what Obama and his henchmen want. He has become that number one enemy of the American Free Enterprise System.
