Just about 2 minutes ago, me and my GF are sitting here in the living room, and things started moving around. Really strange feeling like the floor was rotating in circles.

Stemware hanging started swaying, venetian blind stick swinging, and rocking chair rocking.

We both thought we were imagining it, but we looked at each other and knew we were both feeling it.

Just got word there was a 6.9 in Baja Mexico...

(edit) That information was from my GF's ex-husband, so is inherently unreliable. Looking around to confirm.

I'm in Apple Valley and It swayed back and forth for about 40 seconds.
A major quake I'd say. Confirmed 6.9. baja calif.

You get some SnF you were on top of it. Good job.

Is that California? Where precisely?

Never mind. Googled it.

Yeah that had to be pretty big somewhere.

Might be related to this: www.abovetopsecret.com...

Hope this is the last of it, though given the region's tectonics, it most likely will not be.

Swayed for a good 10-20 seconds here in Riverside, California. Looked it up immediately but couldnt believe it was a 6.9 out in Baja.

That's odd. Could have been related, but I didn't feel that one.

The one we felt just now was about 1545 Pacific time.

Would be strange to feel an aftershock that strong here in Vegas without feeling the original quake.

BTW, thanks for the move, Mirth

Its very close to Mexicali which is a large city build out of shanty materials. I have been there many times, calling some friends right now but phone calls aren't going through.

In LA too. First time I ever notice an earthquake that moved in a circular motion that includes the Sylmar, the Northridge and most of the unnamed in between.
