It could be gold!!! I come across items like this all the time I collect old military items like patches and rings and etc..... I have masonic swords and medals they can have some value to them especially if they are old.

All I can say is you have a really nice camera! You need to catch some pictures of big foot or ETs with that thing!

Do some mineral tests on it to see what it is. It could be gold!

first thing to do is lott for stamps inside the ring
most are stamped 14 k if it does'nt have that stamp
then eather is just a fake or you hit the JACKPOT.
have it tested then find an expert on old rings .

looks similar to the one i aquired from my grandfather.

his had a little latch on the side that i never noticed for years, it was hidden really well ito the design and when you open it a little area had some stuff engraved into it, some random letters and dates.

and then there was some more weird stuff engraved into the inner band.

Yeah I think Steve Wilkos lost that. He'll give you cash for it.

My old high school History teacher had that same ring, crazy old guy believed in a lot of communism, and other weird stuff he told us about that made prefect sense, idk why but everything he said was very true. he also believed in investing in water. rich old guy.

Usually 10K refers to 10 carat gold (I think) Dont know what the other letter could be. Or it may be just a makers mark.

Yeah. Thats gold. Its been worn by a brother for quite a few years. Likely gone on to the "Celestial Lodge" now. I'd be honored to wear that...but only after I've taken my degrees and can wear my grandfathers Scottish Rite Ring.

How much would you reckon these things weigh, masons?

And how much would it be worth?

Would I get more money for returning it to a lodge, or to a jeweler?

First pic is a pic of the inscription.

I'll give you 20 bucks for it. It's probably worth quite a bit.

Or maybe the masons will now visit you.

It seems to me that a nice thing to do would be to advertise the ring in the "lost and found" section of the newspaper. Those ads are usually free. You can just say where, and say "identify to claim."

Then, if its owner doesnt claim it, you can worry about how much money you will get for it.

The ring is impressive, and I certainly hope you obtain the information you're seeking within this thread. The close up pics reveal quite a lot of detail.

Good Day!

Hand it in to your local police.
