China is bad. They look good from over here...prosperous, peace, satbility, economic powerhouse...but dig deeper.

The populace at our standards are slave labor. Religion of any sort is not openly tolerated. You have few rights as we define them in US...look at the US Constitution. No right to self determination. They do want expansion, and are building their military towards that end. Rights of farmers are few. You can be rounded up and imprisoned for no reason, your business can be shut down with no recourse, open dissent of the government is not tolerated. Forums and open expression on the internet is not allowed.

For instance, whole cities and industries were shut down for the Olympics in China, those suspected of demonstrations, trouble makers, dissidents, were rounded up prior to games, even reporters were allowed very little room for reporting outside of games themselves, and those that deviated from the script were expelled or shutdown.

If that sounds like the world you want, by all means go. And for those that like to piss on the USA, we are not perfect, we do have our problems, but we have opportunities like no other in the world.
