All governments falter and fail once the people it governs lose faith in the system. No one can deny that faith in the system here in the States is
at it's lowest since 1929. The 60's can't even come close to whats happening these days. Despite how Americans feel about the country's position
in these trying days, the ideas of freedom that we have grown up with burn brightly in even the uneducated, laziest, most apathetic people of this
land.
It's not just our government that is to blame for the current situation, but We the people also. It is our nation and our government to do with as
we wish and we have done nothing with it even as we watched it do things that we as a nation knew to be morally and legally wrong. We let it go,
it's now a wild juggernaut. We gave our control to the politicians and they created the monster and set it in motion, not even they have control
over it these days.
I for one welcome economic collapse. When We Americans understand whats it's like to starve like the Ethiopians and Sudanese and squat in flimsy
shelters like the impoverished around the world, then and only then will this nation change, both the government and it's people. Voting for a
politician won't change anything, no one person has the power to change the mess we have created, the people as a whole have to change in order to
change things as a whole. It's a lesson worth learning. We will understand the faults in our views of what our nation has become and our role in
the world is today. Like an addict looking in a mirror and then hitting bottom. Like breaking your own bones to set them correctly.
I would also just like to add that an economic crash isn't the worse thing you should be thinking about. It's what happens after it. When people
start aligning themselves into factions. The elite with their army of terrified, hungry masses just begging for everything to back to the way things
were and have no problem forfeiting their liberties for normalcy, like our nation has done for the last 80 years. Then there are the extreme
factions, that exists today, that will promise the will feed the masses bread if only they will sell their souls and humanity in an oath of allegiance
to them. For the rest of us fighting for the liberty and the original ideas that started this great experiment, no amount of stockpiled food will
keep you safe in the months and years after the collapse. The Chinese won't dare enter a nation full of armed people devouring each other, nor will
any other nation. They may lend their support to oneside or another, but they will not come "over here." The Mexican drug cartels and their gangs
however, they are already pushing into our country and a collapsed economy will just encourage them to try and expand their control and wealth.
For those that don't believe that anything will happen, that's fine, I kind of hope your right. Despite what I have said, I do realize that
economic collapse will be a terrible event. The ideas expressed above are my own and I am not blind to the realities of some of my comments. I also
think it should be said that people are speaking of revolution and talking about revolutionary ideas openly more today than they have in many decades
and it is not just the crazy, loony people or irresponsible youngsters speaking the words these days. To say it flat out won't or can't happen is
just as bad as the people that predict the end of America every other day.
Dissent is growing.
