As I've said before in other posts Japan has turned from America because 50% of their people have researched & believe America has lied about 9/11. It has caused a drastic change in their government and will have further consequences.

The world's most dominant and profitable automaker's recall of over 8.5 million cars has spiraled out of control. At first, it seemed to be a normal recall of defective cars. But the crisis Toyota Motor Corp. faces has surpassed the purely "business" level to involve political and geopolitical dimensions.

Many observers suspect something other than safety concerns behind the harsh response of the United States to Toyota's recall. To former Kia Motors chairman Kim Sun-hong, the U.S. reaction to the Toyota problem is an act of "killing the chickens to scare the monkeys."
"The message that Washington wants to send through the Toyota recall crisis is that other companies could also be put into such a quandary. The U.S. government wants its trading partners to heed the warning," Kim said.
But the Toyota crisis involves more than the No. 1 spot in the global car industry. "It reflects Washington's intention to tame the Hatoyama administration which seeks to change the power balance in East Asia," Cha says in a Whoim article.

Cracks began to appear in the staunch U.S.-Japan alliance since the Democratic Party of Japan took power, ending the 54-year-long rule of the Liberal Democratic Party. Conflicts began to surface when the Hatoyama administration sought to nullify the 2006 agreement to relocate the Futenma air base on Okinawa Island.

Throughout the post-war era, Japan had actively supported Washington's global strategies. But friction was anticipated with the DPJ's seizure of power because the party vowed to seek an independent voice. Following the DPJ's takeover, calls have been raised for a reorganization of the U.S. forces in Japan. Recently, secret agreements crafted in the 1960s to allow U.S. nuclear weapons in Japanese territory were exposed. These incidents were taken as signs of the Hatoyama administration's intention to pursue a more independent diplomacy with the United States.

Will South Korea be next to pull back from the US? Probably not but they see the writing on the wall for themselves.

Other strong foreign companies should still bow to US power or suffer the consequences. We will not forgive or forget to being disobeyed by Japan. Our media & Wall Street will bring Toyota & Honda to their knees as we crush them. Japan will bow to US again or we will destroy them for their arrogance.
Our Bankers and Wall Street through the power of Derivatives and false promises of the future have lured some EU states into paying for later what they want now. The collapse of the EU and the Euro will be soon. Russia & China are in our sites and will soon pay for laughing at an America "on its knees". Our government will bring them all down and our foot will be upon their necks.

I think our government needs a reality check, unfortunately we & the world will have to pay the tab.

Toyota and Honda are global sellers. US automanufacturers have little to offer Europe due to emission laws and taxes. Most countries prefer German and Japanese cars to American. Honda will not be on its knees, have you even seen the new Fireblade

There's no doubt that something is behind MSM's promoting our "leaders" fussing at Japan about the Toyota recall.

So quickly we forget about all the recalls from GM, Chrysler, and especially Ford - remember the tire pressure fiasco with SUVs???

There's no doubt there is political motivation involved...Toyotas are good cars. Our 95 4runner is still running strong, I know that!

I think you're vastly overestimating the interest in 9/11, as well as the impact of 9/11 on current events in Japan.

There is very likely a political connection to the Toyota deal, but i think it has more to do with American protectionism (ie preserving the US auto industry) than a political backlash.

I think the Japanese are still far more interested in weather or not their own government lied about the Tokyo Subway Gas Attacks, solving their recession, and trade competition from China than about 9-11.

Considering that the americans have occupied japan since the end of ww2. And violated the treaty regarding the bans on nuclear weapons in japanese territory on several occasions.. along with the problems caused by american bases in japan i.e crime and pollution. theres long been a call for the u.s to pull out of japan by the japanese people but its been largely ignored by the past govt of japan and by the western media. (No surprise the western media never prints anything that would contradict the propaganda they feed people). And yes anyoneone with half a brain knows 9/11 was a set up by shrub and co. to start their illegal and immoral war causing countless deaths of innocent ppl just because they dont believe the same as the all knowing fuhrer shrub and co did and now continued by obama.. The u.s just doesnt like the fact that not everyone is their lapdog and that many around the world see through the lies and propaganda.. And many are tired of the arrogance of the u.s interfering where they have no business.. But the propaganda machine.. Oops u.s media doesnt tell the american people half of what the wonderful ppl in dizzy city do.. it just spoonfeeds them the party line.. quite ridiculous but business as usual for the u.s undermine anyone who dares disagree or question the status quo. Besides after 60+ years of occupation its time the u.s get out of japan.
