Ugh, what is it.... something is missing here.
Not just ATS, like the world. Like everyone is really dragging this year.

Everyone seems so drained. I really think it has to do with the state of the world at the moment. The Economy is beyond messed up. I bet you when we look back at this time in 20 years, this will have definitely ended up being Great Depression #2. The name is perfect for this event. Depression sets in on people when the stupid concept called money gets drained from everyone, and because money is so powerful in this world, people ended not even being to get essentials like food, water, and shelter. Now that is a messed up world. The amount of inequality there actually is in the world now is super crazy. Throughout history, maybe even worse.

Okay, getting me back to the point at hand. Does something feel kind of "off" to you? In the town I am in, I am noticing it with people too. Everyone just feels kind of strange and the vibe is really weird. Something big is happening, and we are sensing it. But seriously, What the hell is it?

I know what you mean. But along with the dragging sense of depression I feel a mounting tension, anger, and confusion slowly starting to build up in society.

Maybe the calm before the storm or maybe the world is changeing more rapidly now and causes people to feel off balance and insecure.

The only thing I can advise if you are tired of the feeling to be as focused and positive as you can and to keep a clear mind. Also be prepared mentally for change and don't base your happiness on money, material possessions or politics.

Does something feel kind of "off" to you?

...yes. But I'm not certain what. Just noticed it a few hours ago, actually. Was sitting at dinner with some relatives and the world felt different in a way I wasn't able to identify. At first I thought it was one of those "social airs" that come out when there's an undercurrent of tension or emotion amongst a group, but after some examination, I don't think that was it. Nobody else seemed to be acting any differently, at least.

In the town I am in

I'm in southern california right now, and we've been having heavy rain for days. In fact...there was a tornado here in Orange County. Yes...a tornado touched down here in sunny socal.

I think you are right. American people try to act like everything is the same. They act like everything is fine. They act like our country will never change, like we have "been here" before.

But we haven't. The problems are piling up. The debt is piling up. The wars are increasing. The banks are looting the public. The house-of-cards economy is one fell swoop away from being destroyed, from a number of directions. Jobs aren't giving raises. There's not much hope in "moving up" in the world. The unemployed are losing home, while the numbers are growing.

The truth is, we haven't been here before, and weather people want to admit it or not, things are definitely different.

People are losing hope for a better future.

Things that have been happening as of late seem to have been throwing people more into the state of anger than anything else thus far. I suppose quite a few are thinking that the year isn't looking to good with the way things are going so far.

Though about the part of feeling off I'd say yes, every time I walk into the store I work in it has always felt awkward; but almost every single customer that comes in seems to be dragging with them a heavy dark cloud of either A. Depression, or B. Anger. I don't know what it is, but it kind of makes you wonder what is making everyone so agitated also.

I think what is happening that is so big, is that our delusion is really starting to slip.

We could pretend nothing was wrong with the way we were living, because we had TV and other distractions to keep us from seeing the problems in the world. But now, its happening in our face. We see people losing jobs and houses. Its harder to play the American game of "deny it all. "

I think it is good, however. You need to be able to see reality to work with it.

Or, scratch the above and go with the Earth is shifting to a higher spiritual plane theory. Or perhaps they are pretty much the same thing. After all, losing your delusion IS a form of higher consciousness and awareness.

There are few outlets for those experiencing economic pain.

The mainstream media continues to sing its song of "everything is OK," or else focuses on inane celebrity issues or other non-issues. People feeling economic pain are made to think it's their own fault somehow for not working hard enough or what have you. There is also a yawning gap of perception between the generations...older people who are retired and getting their fat pensions and/or social security live in a little self-contained bubble, and after a lifetime of secure jobs and upward mobility they are simply unable to grasp the insecurity threatening younger people. This gap creates a profound lack of compassion, understaning, and communication. The general breakdown of societies and traditional family ties adds to the problem. Those who suffer are thus turning inward, blaming themselves, and becoming profoundly depressed and lost.

There is no "legitimate" forum for discussing these very real problems. You are either branded a "right-wing teabagging kook" or a "leftie commie socialist who wants something for nothing" if you complain. The dichotomies of partisan politics (dem versus rep) are played up in the media, but to those crushed under hard times, they seem two sides of the same worthless coin. All this is creating isolation and depression. Very bad psychologically, and it prevents the kind of mass coalescence that would be the first step to solving some of these serious problems.

I am in no way affected by the economy due to the fact that im in a third world country, but id like to know more of how bad the rest of the world is. I could go on but id like to know more from yourself on how the vibe of people are.

Edit: bad spelling.

People, we must get on with our lives and stop being dragged down by forces we have little control over.

Sure, anything "could" happen, but until it does and we are in a position to act, don't let that feeling of doom, gloom and foreboding get to you.

The world is what you make it. Rid yourself of the distractions and help show others that we are not "dead" by doing what others only seem to talk about and lead by example.

If you have troubles, do the best you can and be proud, even if it's not the ideal.

If you think something is going to happen, be aware and spread the word, but don't get depressed because it hasn't happened.

Heck!...I've got a little money in my pocket, no job, bills to pay, mouths to feed, a knackered car, teeth in need of a dentist, I smoke too much, have a house to finish restoring, it's cold and I wouldn't mind a girlfriend too.

BUT.....I see the sun rise each morning, have a bed to sleep in, a roof over my head and right now have one of my beautiful cats asleep on my lap.

Life IS good.

Peace, love and light.....let it in and spread it around.

Things have been going downhill for a long time now, but only recently, say, past 3 or 4 years, as it really been noticeable to all but the most ignorant or those bought out.

I've been feeling it too. Yeah, "bad vibes". There is a true evil in this world, and it is manifesting itself before our eyes. And until it is all but apparent and vocal to the point where it publicly recognizes itself, people won't do #.

The human spirit is dead, and we killed it. Western society has killed it.

This might sound sick to some...but I'm really hoping for an ELE or apocalypse or giant war or SOMETHING soon. I personally don't fear death anymore for I have already killed my ego and seen existence in more naked means...

Can't say what's the reason for this change in energy-level, but for us old-timers it's been appearant the last twenty years. A steady diminishing of awareness/consciousness and accumulating 'clouds' of blackness. Any reasonable gifted clairvoyant can actually see/feel these clouds.

It's something bigger than short-termed human activities. Probably cosmic.

The result is, that mankind now is into a period, where it will be rather dumb and we can expect the usual hysteria from religious and/or political fanatics.

Household your energies and stay away from world-saviours.

Here is why.

Our democracy just officially died today.

People must have sensed it coming.

In a stunning reversal of the nation's federal campaign finance laws, the Supreme Court ruled 5-4 Thursday that free-speech rights permit groups like corporations and labor unions to directly spend on political campaigns, prompting the White House to pledge "forceful" action to undercut the decision.

I think a lot of people are scared of the Obaminator Infiltrators which you should not be, live by the constitution free speech is a must the truth and RP movement is whooping some ass and this is for real. Don't get scared enjoy your rights.

1st Amendment: Freedom of (or from) religion. Freedom of speech. Freedom to assemble. Freedom to petition the government.

I think this dead feeling you are talking about is only a prelude to death. I think there is going to be a massive war. I personally would like to see a hundred million die off. The youth are a waste. I'd like to see them die in battle or return as heroes and ready to get down to the business of life instead of just xbox and blunts. There is just too much dead weight hanging on to the body of the Western world. America is great, but we can't go on supporting all the deadbeats. It is time for them to earn a death or earn a living.

I believe it is our hearts telling us danger is near and we need to remain vigilant. But after awhile this starts to drag you down and make your soul tired. Something is wrong I am sure of it but I for the life of me cant figure out what it is?

I have never really bought into conspiracy theories I joined ATS to try and debunk them. But something about 8 months ago clicked inside of me and I felt the need to plan for my very survival so I started to read in the survival forum and get some seeds and such. I have never in my life felt the need for this kind of thing. I am the grasshopper not the ant.

And before you go saying oh this is just another 2012 nut I am not I really have not idea what it is, why would my body and mind tell me I must take a hard look at how to survive if need be. It is like a alarm clock went of inside of me! one day I could care less and the next I am planning out how to grow food ?

Hey, I know the world is what you make of it, and I still love my life and appreciate it so much. The point I'm trying to get to is in my opinion, the state of the world could be better, and it seems like a lot of people around are dragging.

I also like to spread the love and light, it just looks like I'm going to have to spread more since a lot of people seem in a slump.

I live my life to the best of my ability, and have many good times, its just in the back of my mind, I have the strangest feeling of foreboding. It is almost exactly like in Majora's Mask where the moon gets closer and closer and the foreboding music plays in the background faster and more frantic.

Oh yes! There is some serious # going on. But, its not new. It has been like this for years, only difference is, people are starting to realize it. 9/11, HAARP, #ing ET's, music, media, lies, scandals, the END TIMES?!? Like, what is really going on? We won't know till something SERIOUSLY big happens. Look at it this way, the gov't is talking about Marshal law....why? Everyone seems to be broke more then normal....why? Were being lied to...why? What the # is up? People are starting to wake up (which is a good and bad thing). I'm glad I'm not the only one who sees it anymore.

Of course something is wrong and feels wrong. Everyday I go to work and people are tired, the workers, the guests, everyone. Something inside of us is telling us that this is not the way to go. Tired of working 9-5 at a job that they are probably stuck with for the rest of their life in able to fit in with some dumb social standard and live the way everyone else does.

Waiting for a paycheck day to come so that you can pay to live on a planet you were born on, after the government takes it's share of it so that they can send your children to wars.

Yes, something is wrong and missing. It's called human values. I feel it everyday, people are unhappy. ATS isn't dead, it's just been so bogged down with disinfo agents and people who think everything is okay, telling us that nothing is wrong. You don't need facts, evidence or sources to tell you that something is seriously f'ed up with the way we live.

I can't say it enough, let whatever the hell catastrophe come. Be it planetary, invasion, apocalypse, maybe even wars. Let it come and wash away our ignorance so that we can see how valuable we are to each other, and that we don't need a few men sitting in high chairs telling us that everything is going to be okay as long as we give them our money and time.

I fear living this way, and my children living this way than anything that would cause me death. And I really mean that.
