The people of America are not as participative in politics as they should be, but mark my words, after this fool's first year in office the Conservative movement will smash the Liberals right out of office over the next four to six years.

This is a cause and effect relationship, he is terrible, now the moderate conservatives that put him office will swing right back the other way. He will only serve one term and get almost nothing accomplished. The man has bitten off more than he can chew with his FAR LEFT views. Had he remained somewhat in the middle I wouldn't be so hard on the guy, but he knew he won with the help of both moderate Dems, Independents and Conservatives, then he has rammed a far left policy down our throats, all the while doing nothing that he said he would do.

The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are still on Bush's timetable, probably longer in Afghanistan after Barrack screwed that situation up! Gitmo is still running and three prisoners died there in the last week, he is pushing both CAP and TRade and the Healthcare Reform bills that will both tax the middle class right into the lower class. The guy is a complete friggin idiot!

The only thing worse than him would be his Vice President taking over, god forbid!

Obama did sign the executive order to close Guantanamo which is the extent of his powers, but this IS a Democracy and those who continue to support and promote the NEOCON "War on Terror" mindset and agenda have been highly opposed and have prevented this from proceeding on schedule.

These individuals , who are primarily Republican in affiliation, have the most to lose if the war on terror were to suddenly end and they were to lose their source of huge war related profits from their defense industry sponsored lobbyists.

But this is their responsibility in this charade that we call politics.

Were any of you, aware of the FACT that Senator John McCain(R-AZ) also stated his support for the closing of Guantanamo in a 2008 campaign speech ?


But here it is, the quote from Senator John McCain:

I was gonna go crazy if this was another right wing thread bashing Obama. I can't stand the crazy arrogant right wingers. Anyway, yes Obama's a liar. He's a politician, it's what they do. None of them have our interests in mind. With that said, why are we still here bashing each other over the problems these people are creating for us. I hope we realize someday that it's them we should be going after and actually follow through on it.

What you say is absolutely true, but I contend we may have alrerady gone too far to recover. The American people have woke up, but once you fall off the cliff, you have to hit bottom sooner or later. The elite progressive socialist are still in charge. their agenda moves on. if they loose a couple men along the way, that's an acceptable sacrifice to them.. that's why they don't care how many democrat careers they end along the way to get their agenda passed. They have an agenda to enact, and they won't be stooped until they are removed from office.

Don't forget that the republicans had their chance to control spending , and didn't do it. They all play for the same puppet masters, it just happens to be the Dems turn in the barrel. They all need to be replaced. that's the only way things will really change. But that won't happen untill we have already been ruined. We got started a little late with real change, shown by the election of Scott brown. Maybe we still have a chance. We can hope Washington gets the message, but they have shown time and again that they have a hearing problem. perhaps we can remove them from office, and buy them a hearing aid.

There was nothing 'Magic' about his lying at all, if anyone paid any attention to his campaign at all you could easily tell he was a Liar then, these false promises were also evident during the Bill Clinton campaigns. The problem is the the average voter never does his research and is always gullible to promises that are too good to be true that obviously can not ever be kept.

I have no problem with you criticizing the transparency of Obama's administration. It is abysmal - and this is coming from a "supporter".

I do have a problem with your title that is a call back to Barack the Magic N_____ song that was so popular among the right wing nut jobs.

I think your argument would be a lot stronger if you didn't have to resort to name calling.

On the other hand - I agree with the majority of posts that question your shock at politicians lying. I mean c'mon.
