If this has anything to do with plum island, do you really think it would be in the news?..

I can see plum island from my work which is on the coast of Connecticut, I work at a nuclear plant. (far distance but I thought I would throw that out there)

It's more likely this guy was a porn star, pianist or professional nose picker than he was a mutant experiment in designer labels.

Just Sayin'...

I'm 6'3 and white and wear size 11 shoes, and mine are big compared to most people.

Is shoe size in the USA different to over here in the UK?

Thank you. You have provided the clue to the bogusness. The report tells us he is 6-foot-2 with a large build and very long fingers.

But he wears a size 10 shoe? LOLz.

You can call me Slylock Fox. Do I win a prize?

I think US = UK + 1.
So you would fit a 12 over here.
This long finger guy would be wearing a 9 over there in the UK, at 6 foot 2 with large build. Goofy isn't it?
Unless his wee tootsies couldn't grow in the shade of his looooong fingers.

what the article describes could easily be a human being with marfan's syndrome,

long body habitus, long fingers (arachnodactyly) amongst other traits. look

it up on wiki or google to learn more.

i have to admit i am a skeptic when it comes to 'alien remains' - like

the star child lloyd pyle took up a few years ago - as many congenital malformations

are rare, and frightening. The x-rays/ scans for me are very cool.

If this guy were some genetic experiment or ET that escaped from the island of Dr. Moreau, the escape would be more of a story than this "long fingers". You'd think a exotic disease bioresearch facility would have it's own crematorium for disposing of "mistakes", accidents, experiments that were over, etc.

Who is reporting that the fingers were abnormally long? A casual bystander? Just as with animal carcasses that have been in the water for a while, humans will begin to slough off their skin and give off "abnormal" appearance. I doubt this is anything mutant in nature.

You have lost your ability to separate yourself from your inability to believe.

No picture, no proof, no nothing, and yet you doubt. You won't listen, but you have no belief in anything but a 9-5 job, fast food, modern conveniences and have no idea what the scientific method really represents.

You doubt without proof, and even if there was proof, you would call hoax.

Save me a Mt. Dew while you are at it, would you?

"Hello? Hello? This is reality calling. Is Gideon there? Can I leave a message?"

'No picture, no proof, no nothing,' is WHY we assume it's a standard human male corpse. When you hear hoofbeats, think 'horses'....not zebras. Of the tens of thousands of black, male corpses across the world...how many are expected to NOT be human?!

So far there's not a single reason to speculate that the dead guy is anything but a dead guy. Horses...not zebras...horse

No, I believe a body was discovered . And that decomposing corpse gave off the appearance of abnormally long fingers.

No picture, no proof, no nothing, and yet you doubt.

Too right you are. Why should I fall for some hyped up "tabloid" news. BTW, you have no picture, proof, no nothing, and yet you believe it's a mutant human experiment....watch much x-men?

This is all rubbish, plain and simple. Has nothing to do with my informed opinion.

and have no idea what the scientific method really represents.

Really???
I'll just say that I have a B.S. in Wildlife Biology...I think I have proven to a fine institution of higher learning that I have a full grasp of the scientific method...no need to prove it to you.

BTW, where is your scientific method? Blindly believing in something...well, there's no science behind that.

You doubt without proof, and even if there was proof, you would call hoax.

Um, sorry to burst your little bubble, but doubting without proof is exactly what a rational, scientific minded individual does.

Save me a Mt. Dew while you are at it, would you?

Mt. Dew?

Given that it is a full police description, could it not just be that they are trying to identify the body. What is the mystery in that?

Because they are getting their information from the witness, who is not an expert...merely a casual observer. The fingers may have seemed long to the witness, but that does not mean that they are freakishly long...just long to that one individual.

Besides, now days the news is there to sensationalize more than it is to report the truth. The witness said unusually long fingers...guess what the news reports...

I don't get why everyone is on my case. It's almost like you people think that if you keep believing that this is a corpse from a genetic research facility that it magically will be.

Always has to be a conspiracy, huh?

Never mind using logic and reason.

Really? So you think I'm a mind reader? Or that I am somehow "in the know". I got the same information that everyone else has. So let me ask you, why do you think they would report that bit of information?
