He didn't consider the book a joke, but rather the institution of new religion (or re-establishing an old religion, i.e., ancient Egyptian paganism, with a modern scientific twist).

He did not come from a particularly wealthy family, but he did have an influence on popular culture, not directly, but through people who studied and admired him. Folks like Aldous Huxley, John Lennon, David Bowie, Allen Ginsberg, and others were strongly influenced by Crowley, and made many of Crowley's ideas accesible.

But he was more of a bum than anything just traveling around doing lots of drugs and having lots of orgies, and other spiritually enlightening experiences...

i'm not sure i buy F.A.'s decoding...

there are some definite reasons for my doubt, based on things i've read and understand, in various degrees.
but, off the top of my head, i can't recall what they are, except for the general idea that some things, that should have taken place, didn't - and still haven't.
of course, that doesn't mean that Jones didn't fulfill his particular part in the Great Work by doing what he did - personally, i am sure he did because that's just the way it works.


"The Anatomy of the Body of God" is an excellent treatise, imo; positively brilliant!

i need to go back and look into these things again - this thread seems to be calling my attention to re-examine!

I noticed in an earlier post that the domain was using gandi.net as a dns server.
They are probably using gandi as you can auto update the NS records.

IE, if you want to change the physical location of your web site/domain, you can have a script set up with gandi so every time you connect to the internet your pc sends a notice to the gandi nameservers to update the dns records to reflect your new ip address.

Quick lesson,

You need an ip (like a street address) to be able to accept communication from other internet/network users/computers.

Humans remember names better than numbers, this is what DNS (Domain Name Server/Service) is for.

When you type in google in your browser, your computer queries it's dns servers for the ip (street) address.
Your computer will then connect to the ip address to do it's thing.

Usually you need a static (non changing) ip to host a website/domain.

DDNS (Dynamic DNS) is a servcie (provided/supported by gandi) which allows one to use a connection that changes ip addresses (like an old dial up modem connection), or anyone else. fpor that matter, that would want to change the physical machine/ISP etc that the specific domain/website is hosted on.

In the original script of Liber AL on page 16 of Chapter III is a grid
superimposed over verse 47. An unexplained diagonal line crosses the
page starting from the upper left. A circle with a + in its centre appears
near the end of this line. There are letters along the top of the page and

When I first had my attention drawn to the existence of a purported
English Qabalah, my first reaction as a qabalist was to use it on

Hi all....

and thanks for all your posts, many sources of information and much valued opinions.

I think the curiosity this mystery website has around is interesting.
To me it seems likely that whoever created it had some form of knowledge on the Book of Law.

It would be pretty kool to find out who is behind it and ask them what it all means.

My personal take is that it all ties into the kabbalah, the tree of life and secret society rituals and systems of degrees.

I think the alchemists gold isnt in the solving of numbers but more of grasping an idea.

I feel The tree of life is a system of enlightenment much in the same way the 33 masonic degrees lead you to enlightenment.

This system of degrees is prevelent in all secret societies yet many add their own metaphores and alegories.
I believe strongly that the idea is the key here.

It is about inner transformation and spiritual evolution.
becoming enlightened beings in the new dawn or new age of aquarius.

Its like a metamorphasis of base metals into gold.

I think all these puzzles and riddles are the atoms of the idea.

The science behind it so to speak.

because it is so intricate and awe inspiring it leads man to ask deep searching questions about his own existence.
Changing through his discoveries.

It would be good to hear some evaluations so far...
or how you feel about what this all means.

all of what you said is pretty much how i see things, except for you being far more eloquent than i could ever be, attempting description.

i think that all of the various mythos, religions, philosophies, etc., are all basically the same story - the atoms as you say - dressed up according to the customs of origin.

it's like ice cream
all ice cream has the same basic ingredients such as milk, sugar, and ice.
but then there are flavors added into, or on top of, this plain foundation, potentially endless in possibility and possessing at least a certain degree of uniqueness.
