Some Pointing to Israel in Assassination of Iranian Nuclear Expert

10:30 AM IL: According to foreign media reports, an Iranian nuclear
expert, Professor Masud Mohammadi, was assassinated in an explosion
near his Tehran home earlier Tuesday morning.

The state-run Iranian news agency reports an explosive device was
attached to the victim's motorcycle and it detonated shortly after he
left home, apparently on his way to work. The victim was a nuclear
physicist associated with Tehran University, and according to US
intelligence reports, they believe he was connected to Iran's nuclear
program. While Iran is not confirming this, Mohammadi was known as a
major supporter of the revolution which toppled the shah in 1979,
clearing the way for the Islamic fundamentalist regime.

An Israel Radio Reshet Bet report states that some sources in Iran
are pointing a finger of blame at Israel, calling the explosion an
Israeli assassination. There has not been any comment on the reported
explosion from official sources in Jerusalem. (Yechiel Spira ñ YWN
