Ron Jeremy says violent video games 'worse' than porn

i honestly dont know how anyone can slate video games to be honest when the scenes of the war thats constantly on the news are a hundred times more graphic .. and then theres all the sordid details that get plastered all over the tv about which film star turned out to be a paedophile etc .. video games are in comparison to that . as tame as tom and jerry my kids play video games .. always have .. and to assess suitability i do the same as i do with movies and age rtings .. i watch or have a go first (yes im a mom and a huge gaming fan too ) and if i think its suitable then theyre allowed to play on it or watch the movie .. it should be left to us as parents to decide whats suitable for our kids not some silly nanny state.

He is right. YOUNG kids shouldnt be playing games about killing innocent people stealing cars causing havoc and so on. They are messing with their brains.

Ron Jeremy is mad because he sees video games going places where porn is always the same. Methinks he may be jelous much!!

I totally agree. The parents should take the lead in this one. Be informed about what your children are doing. Its not that hard.

It's kind of sad isn't it, we let kids play M rated video games where they can beat an old women to death with a bat, but when it comes to pornography, Oh hell no! What's more natural, human mating for money, or violence. Actually I think i've confused myself halfway through typing this....

I'm the black sheep out of my black sheep friends. Many of them are jungalists, dnb addicts, speed metalists, goth freaks, love vampire films, play violent video games, etc..I consider all of this to be negative and foolish. It doesn't register in my mind why anyone would be inclined to like such things. Each of these evoke a very negative feeling in me. You could say it lowers my vibration, I guess.

In my mind, all of these things condition people into being less aware, morally. I respect peoples rights to choose these activities, but think that they're just not too aware how the overall impact is not progressive. I can understand people who say it's a means to release tension, but this is a petty excuse, IMO. Instead of transcending negative feelings, they perpetuate it.

As for which one is worse, pornography or violent video games, I think violent video games is worse. I guess it would depend on the type of pornography. If it involves fantasies of rape or other types of brutality, then I'd probably think otherwise.

You know, for half my life i have developed weird fetishes because of internet porn. I have also been playing violent video games my entire life. I have yet to rape a woman or kill a person because i saw it in a porno or video game. I actually wrote my Senior Year HS Paper about the impact of violent media on children. The conclusion that i came too was that While they do have an impact on behavior it is a temporary impact. No long term studies found a significant correlation.

Well, i personally start my day off with a cup of coffee. i then get dressed and go down to the bus station. Usually i'll steal a newspaper and then, if i spot a guy walking into an alley, i'll go rob him. Maybe beat him with my 2x4 i keep for just such occasions. Then i get on the bus and go to work.

But my boss has been threatning to fire me, as i keep showing up late to work. So im debating wether i should spray him up with an Ak or an M16. and should i do it in a drive by or in-office?

Anyway, after work i head over to my mistresses house, and we proceed to get in some dominatrix love. Woo. After i leave her house, i go to the Burger Shot and buy some cheeseburgers. On my way home i rob a few more people, and if its cold outside i'll carjack someone.

Why not MIX the two, porn and violent video games.

No I disagree.... video game violence allows you to blow off steam and take your anger out on virtual people. It's a way to cope your with stress.

Porn drives on your human desire... they make billions because of your natural function as a human. Your supposed to get desire to have sex or do something of it. Porn industry takes control of a humans weakness and then makes money off it kinda like what smokers are. They take one puff and become addicted and need more.. the cigarette companies take advantage of the human bodies weakness just like porn industry.

The porn industry has violent and sicking entertainment stuff. It turns people into making sex nothing but entertainment and then this is were we get the weird sick people. That is why we have increasingly sex offenders in the U.S

So I would think porn does more damage then violent video games. I am a gamer myself.

I play man hunt, man hunt 2 and many horror and action games that are sexual and violent. Yet I never did a school shooting . I never been to the principal office for doing anything bad to anyone. I been picked on by alot of bullies during my school year and yet I never even thought of beating them up. I just ignored them when ever they called me names. They would try and get me upset enough so they can have a reason to physically fight me. What I did was ignore them and people would stare at the kid as if he was crazy talking to himself.

So I don't think video games do more damage then porn. Porn does more damage if you look at what crap is out their in the porn industry and you know why they make big money... it's because their business if off human nature weakness. They take advantage of peoples weakness to make a buck off it.

Video games don't do such a thing. You can stop playing games at any time. I am aware of game addicts but those people don't know how to balance game play and doing homework or any work that needs to be done in that day.
