The level of ignorance in your thread is simply astounding.

A rich person won't miss $200 if it's taken in the form of a ticket. A poor person would. However, hitting both parties with a ticket for 20% of their last pay cheque, most certainly will ensure both parties sit up and take notice.

Being rich does not exclude one from being punished.

I haven't created any threads. Perhaps you meant post. Which post might be so astoundingly ignorant, and why do you say so?

The same applies for the price of food. That's why I said "While you're at it, why don't you charge the rich $10,000 for a loaf of bread, and $900,000 for a bottle of aspirin? "

I never said it did.

I'll repeat: If that's socialism, you can keep it.

Oh no! I used the wrong word! That instantly condemns me, and vindicates you! Back to the real world...

Food is a commodity, and not a punishment. You clearly know nothing about socialism, and yet seem awfully keen to condemn it. Strange.

You obviously know much more about socialism. Enough to allow you to continue defending it in spite of the fact that it is a philosophy that leads to slow economic stagnation and ultimately death of a society.

And what's with the antagonistic attitude? If you don't want to discuss in an adult manner, maybe we should cut this discussion short.?

Food is more than a commodity - it is a necessity. It doesn't matter anyway. Your goal is wealth redistribution by way of theft from the wealthy. And you stuff your own pockets instead of giving it to the poor.
