about time somebody fought for this righetous cause- I remember back in the 80s playing space invaders and then going out and shooting down several alien spacecraft, I have suffered 2 dimensional guilt ever since

So along those lines this is applicable as well..

"Computer games don't affect kids.
If Pac man had affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in dark rooms, munching pills and listening to repetitive electronic music?"
Quoted by Gareth Owen.

Except that in reality, we are not all running around dark rooms munching pills and listening to repetitive electronic music.

Given, the electronic music is difficult to avoid... I really doubt that the description applies to the majority of video gamers.

Although it is perfectly descriptive of a number of people within certain sub-cultures who sometimes exhibit similar behavior.

I agree with the Pac-Man quote, however I am certain that it was delivered as sarcasm.
