Is it a UFO breaking apart or just a meteor?

My friend took the shot from CCTV footage - he said he heard a boom then he caught this on his cam.

The shot is zoomed but VERY clear, you can even see what looks to be a large piece falling away from the object!

And I missed it from all the rain the past few days
I noticed in the link you gave there was no time as to when it was
taken.it did mention that it was near K.Falls.
If there was a time I could ask some people I know in that area if they had seen it as well.
Nothing on the local news about it.

Yes my friend says he would have missed it if it wasn't for the gap in the clouds and was lucky his cam was looking out towards the fields.

I believe it was around 10.30pm.

There has been a lot of rain and clouds. There was though two booms that night late on, don't know if it was thunder, I heard that from Bend at the time!

AArghh..I missed it too! There was quite a downpour of rain at that time. Haven't heard anything about it in the media either, however, I do know that there was a major power outage 90 miles away in Grants Pass, although it is more likely that this was due to the weather than to this event.

I know last night around 11:30pm I had thunder and 12:00 power flickered twice, 4:30 was a very large thunder. It woke my mother in law up. I was already up. Was out side at the time for my morning smoke.

I had contacted some I know and asked but I have not gotten a reply from all of them yet.

Friend in in Riddle said didn't see anything, friend in Eugene said was raining to much. Still waiting on other friends to let me know.

I wonder why the link you posted forces me to "take a short survey" before unlocking the file, hmmm?

After noticing that your signature also promotes tjsilve.com
I suppose I have my answer.

I don't take surveys to view evidence, you might as well just ask people to send you some money.

BTW welcome to ATS

Ah sorry - it seems the site has a glitch it will disappear - it has something to do with one of the ads the tech tells me - they are working with the adserver to rectify the problem - apparently SS has been banning IP addresses all day - The ad apparently uses a proxy server that changes IPs at random!

If you go over now it should stop or just hit the back button, that's how I do it!

But yes actually the time was 10.46pm when the event happened, although the still makes the object look pretty large I beleive it WAS pretty large lol!

Yes I know the guy who owns the site - he is a friend if I am doing something wrong with my signature I will take it out.

I myself use this place to place images up, I promised I would do that as I have a similar interest

I have seen one of these before. Or at least what I thought to be one but
soon revealed a smallerone that did follow the larger and change direction twice.
The second change of direction coming just before they would have struck the earth. This course took both objects streaming past Ontario airport incoming traffic from the east. The impression I was left with was that they were intelligent light beings from I haven't a clue. I believe there are several reports that can be found on UFO reporting centers web site. Sun. Jan.2 2000 So. calif.
It was widely seen and reported on. I myself called the police in Fontana calif.
Ontario airport, they said it really shook up two of the pilots of the three planes I noticed lined up in a row for their landing aproach. One thought it was a missle fired . Then the person hit me with,"it was probably just a meteor though"
all I said back to him was," mister that's one meteor that just won't fly".
I hung up, and made one last call to the UFO reporting center.
Then watched the report on Eyewitness news. As usuaal they dropped the story by morning. I will never forget that very bright green object comeing in towards the ground and thinking were dead then at that same precise moment, It shooting out into space. Awesome sighting

I saw one just like this, but it was a white/blue color. I watched it materialize in thin air and back again into nothingless in less than a few seconds. I have also seen a green one like this, but much more higher up in the sky.

O.K. It works now thanks for looking into it, sorry if I jumped the gun by accusing you of linking to a site that asks for a survey and then they "give you the password" I'm sure you've seen those and they're very annoying.

On the picture, is that a night vision camera?

Being that it's a security tape is there a video?

Why was the camera pointed to the sky, or was this object so low that or far away that it was picked up?

Very cool and it definitely looks big but without any other frame of reference it's hard to tell, thats why I ask so many questions.

Actually just judging by the size of it's tail, I'd say it IS pretty big. I suspect it's a meteor though.

We just passed through the Leonids meteor shower, that was on November 17th '09 but I wonder if what you have here was a holdover from that.

There is this vid from the 18th I think it has something to do with the Comet Tail we passed through - but one can speculate about UFOs... I wouldnt know if it changed direction or if something crashed???

No probs AC

Yes someone posted a vid from the 18th could rez fron Leonids.

He has tried to claim the vid - the weird thing is the security company have it in there possesion - thinking it may either end up on the news or secret archive.

I told Bazza that he is a dumbass and should have got a copy - he printed that pic you saw off the computer. After uploading a still - but for reference the zoom is 10x and there was a tree line about a mile away directly under, he said the tail stretched across the top of a tree line that about half mile long.

So I would say big!

It does appear to resemble a bright meteor or fireball, however, I think it is probably something else since the streak created does not appear to be straight. A meteor would be straight.

The "pieces falling off it" look more like rain drops on the camera IMHO.

I'd like to see the previous and following frames, as well as this frame in it's entirety, and if possible a daylight reference frame taken in the same position. Without these things, the picture is incomplete.

As for the booms, if they were due to a fireball, then you would hear them 1-3 minutes after seeing the meteor, since there is a delay between the sound reaching you.

A light of some description is definitely to blame, but I'll hold of jumping to any conclusions about what this could be without further data.

Will get that for you although the frames may be hard as the security company has the tapes.
