It has been awhile since I have wrote anything, so I decided to write a quick poem.

It means nothing in particular, just a few thoughts here and there. I was in a not so great mood when I was brainstorming, and it only took like ten minutes to write.

What do you guys think?

Lyrics for a Pessimist

I am what I am.
And what am I?
But a lamb among lions,
A forgotten memory bygone,
Forsaken be so long
As I am what I am.

I am who I am.
And who am I?
But a fox without a sly,
A horizon without a sky,
With eyes on the empty prize,
That which I am who I am.

I am where I am.
And where am I?
But a place without a name,
A location all the same,
On the tracks without a train,
So that I am where I am.

I am when I am.
And when am I?
An era taken amiss,
A time upon that sticks,
Never again and ever since
I am when I am.

I am how I am.
And how am I?
But a writer without a pen,
A king without his kin,
Searching unto wits end,
I am how I am.

I am why I am.
And why am I?
I cannot say.
For I have come and gone a day
Or two and thrice I 'nay'
That which I am why I am.

I am what I am.
And what am I?
But a rebel without a cause,
A tiger minus his claws,
A theatre lacking applause,
I am what I am.

That was Very Interesting. I personally felt it to Not be Pessimistic. Though, not entirely Optimistic. I find it to be More of a Statement of Self.

Thank you so much for your input!

There is nothing better to a writer than for a reader to give feedback, positive or negative.

Not too many people like reading pessimistic writing, although that is just about everything in my repertoire. Maybe that is why not too many people like to give me feedback

Oh well, one is perfectly fine with me.
Thank you again, and I hope you continue to read my work

No Problem Friend. I do some writing Myself, but it is Far More Enjoyable reading the Works of AnOther. Plus, I prefer to work with music. To me, it is a Way to Share Pain without the Negative Repercussions.

Good Fortune to You and yOURs

Jacob

You wrote that in ten minutes?! I guess some are just born with it!
In my opinion that's a fab poem and I don't mind telling you that it moved me big time!

Well thank you

Yes, it did take only ten minutes, and to some it is obvious considering the lack of organized rhythm.

Still, I am flattered that you enjoyed my writing!
