Well that's funny....

If you could read it would help.
It seems people can see what I'm saying and are as confused as i am as to why you can't answer a question?

Perhaps reread the thread.. this time, take it all in...understand it, calm down and then come back and play nice...ok?

I just asked one simple question, numerous times...and still got no answer.

Oh well.

Because he said I called people derogatory names. He denied it, but you will see it is true if you look.

On a less positive note though, i do hear that a number of less than happy pirates have taken legal action over this.

I know right?
I mean with all that treasure I'd imagine they would be far from grumpy.
And isn't that Un-PC to lump all Pirates in the grumpy category?

Good point

Going back to what i said about general manners and respect though, that could be cointradicted by the fact that decades ago when respect seemed to be more apparent, we still had the problem of racism and lack of political correctness.

I'm 37 years old, so i remember growing up in the 70's and 80's. Respect and manners, and to generaly think of other people was drummed into me as a kid, but listening to the comedian's of the day here in the UK was indeed an eye opener for the PC brigade.

Hopefuly we'll get it all sorted one day.....but i'm not holding my breath.

Can someone please explain to spellbound, in simple terms, that i did NOT say that he called people derogatory names?

Because I'm getting bored now.

And he isn't understanding my very simple explanations.

Check the 23rd post. That is exactly where you said that.

I am bored now as well, and tired of liars.

Ahhhhh ok, we're getting somewhere.

You mean this?

The QUESTION i asked you?
That's right...it's a question, not a statement.

To actually have to explain this, dozens of times, is highly embarrassing... do you get it yet?

As you couldn't answer the question I'd been asking already, i changed it up a little and tried to make it clearer.

But as you clearly have no grasp of debates, conversations and the like.. you think somehow i was saying that YOU called people names.

I wasn't...not even remotely.

I would still like the original question answered too.

What truth does Political Correctness deny?

I believe Mokoman would also like this question answered?

Generally it's good manners to back up your statement and answer questions when you throw a statement out there.
Otherwise you just look....er....well..... take a look at your posts and see.

Aussies speak the truth, fair dinkum - so you should be the first to be against PC.

PC equals lying, pretending - just generally not facing the truth.

And my Aussie mates are not into that. Good on ya!

And what is this elusive truth my Kiwi friend?

That is the Million dollar question...that is what all this is about?

I think political correctness is necessary in today's society. I also always thought i don't need to censor myself and to be 'politically correct' since i don't have any racist bone and don't like to stereotype people.

That until the day until politically correctness (pushed to the extreme, imo) literary made me cry in my ethnology seminar. My poor choice of words (apparently) was ridiculed and i was accused of being insensitive towards migrants (i myself am an immigrant in this country) and making assumptions based on people's skin colour (which i most certainly didn't).

Ever since then, i've been extremely confused about the subject...

The elusive truth is elusive but PC blocks us even more from discovering the truth.

I don't think we will ever discover the truth.

Oh come on now.
After all that.... we're back to riddles.

What truth does PC stop?
It's simple enough.

You said that PC denies us the truth.

How does it?
And what is the truth it denies us?

Come on.. just 2 questions... that's all i ask.
And a real answer too.

Wow! It is somewhat fitting that in a thread praising political correctness that it devolve into what it has:

Political correctness is cool.

No it isn't!

Is too!

Is not!

Uh-huh.

Unh-nuh.

Yep.

Nope.

Shut-up!

You shut-up!

Why don't you make me?

I tried but I could only go number one and couldn't go number two.

Ohhhhh, okay. Now you're just being childish.

No I'm not.

Yes you are.

Am not.

Are too.

Unh-nuh.

Unh-huh.

Wanna bet?

No. Gambling is illegal.

Oh yeah? Only if you're politically correct, it is.
