THE Obama administration will shortly unveil its new strategy for the Afghan conflict.

You make some good points.
Still, I believe 9/11 justified a war. Just because there are other threats to the U.S. doesn't mean Al Qaeda isn't one.
The point I was trying to make in posting the article was that invading Afghanistan was evidently playing right into their strategy. A sobering thought.
