How to project Fire using a pen laser

this video explains how to turn a pointing laser into a burning laser. not sure when I would need something like this - I guess its just useless knowledge that might interest pyromaniacts.

You must realize that the laser pointers make a pin hole into black things. Yes they will smoke things, but no combustion will ever happen. Not enough power. The light is more intense than the sun, however, again, it's area is too small to matter. Not enough area covered. It really is a pin hole. And at a short distance. From far, it's just a bright light. Bad enough to blind the eyes.

Hey get one to pop black balloons and impress your friends. But no way are you gonna start a fire with one.

Perhaps if you were to movee up to the thousands of dollar verion, then maybe, and I mean, maybe, you could help with shooting down incoming missles.

Oh, and anyone stupid enough to shine it at an airplane, well, they are just asking for jail time.
