KInda creepy, don't fully understand the point he is trying to make.

Any thoughts?

I don't know how to post a picture.

i saw this too...

It is kind of weird, and im unsure of his meaning

The sculpture represents U.S. President Barack Obama's impact on the world.

Fire can be viewed as both a good and bad thing.
When you are "on fire" it means you're doing good.

If you set something on fire, it means you're doing bad.

So since it's Obama on fire, i assume the artist is saying he's doing good

To me, if it were the other way around, i would assume the sculpture would be of the planet in flames, and Obama standing somewhere near it.

Good analogies, as an artist myself, I don't care for it, personally.

But it is a very creative endeavor I guess.

interestingly enough - this article appears on Drugereport and not CNN

Perhaps they think it belittles Obama?

Well my first impression was not positive, but the more I look at it, the more it interests me.

I saw this too, and pondered on what it meant for a while. I didn't come to any conclusions different from the other post about him being on fire, meaning doing good.

It seemed a bit sinister to me, just looking at it. I think I have read this site too much!

When I first heard about this, it made me think back to protests where effigies of political leaders are burned to make a point (along the same lines of flag burning to protest a country, etc.)

But I guess it's what the person's intent actually is, not what can be misconstrued from it.
