A side note on earmarks.
While nearly all federal government spending is bad, earmarks are esentially the only time congress is actually doing its job of appropriating
money.
When money is allocated WITHOUT earmarks, that means the congress has abdicated its responsiblity to oversee how our money is spent and has instead
allowed an unelected executive agency decide how the money is spent.
Think about that one for a bit.
I don't want to detract from the anger over spending though. The whole federal government is nothing but a cesspool of corruption.
