Joe's not perfect and I'm not a fan but the thing is, jail isn't exactly mandatory. Everyone there chose to be there by committing a crime. You think that situation is special or even unique among county jails in America?

Until ICE starts doing the job its supposed to I support any state initiative to curb illegal immigration. Round ups, sweeps of businesses who employ them, city ordinances making it illegal to rent homes to them, sell them vehicles, etc - all fair play, IMO. Don't let the door hit you in the ass on your way out.

If you want to be an American then immigrate legally. Otherwise get out and stay out. I wish my local Sheriff would do what Joe's doing and let's hope more do so.

Besides, pink uniforms are probably better than a prison shower party.

Jail is one place I would never want to end up in.

Given the illegal alien sweeps have been stopping people of all ethnicities to ask for ID it's entirely possible our "Huffington Post is my Pron" friend may himself have been deported as a result of Sheriff Joe's program.

If I were to find out that was the case my support for said program would rise even higher. Go Joe! Go after the businesses who hire them, the landlords who rent to them, the auto dealers who sell them cars - make Phoenix the least desirable place on Earth for an illegal alien. Then come teach our Sheriff how to do the same, please.

Problem is that studies say he gets as many prisoners back as any other jail. His program doesn't work.

it is my understanding and Michael Ruppert planted this Idea in my head,
who protects the CIA bringing in drugs into the USA.... the sheriffs... so him being the sheriff, I suspect he is following thier instuctions, after all OK City bombing appears to have been carried out by the FBI and ATF is somewhat suspecious in this as well.... and we have 911, again abundant evidence to warrant an investigation and well, Nada.... so as near as I can tell the Sheriffs work for someone higher up.

Prison should not be a nice place to be. You should never want to set foot in one again once you leave.

As for only feeding prisoners twice a day I don't see the big deal about that. Most days I only get two meals in and get along fine. When I was in the military sometimes we would only get two meals a day out in the field and we were all ok. So I don't see how you could equate this with unfair and cruel treatment.

I think in the assorted jibber jabber about the prisons that what has happened has been lost or confused with the good he started.

Prison should be hard but not inhuman, I lived there a long time I know whats going on, I didn't read it I saw it.

I approved of the pink clothes, the crappy meals, no TV's and gyms and lack of all the creature comforts.

But now lets get down to some details you seem to think are ok.

Try living in the desert with no AC or heat in the winter and at night, it gets COLD and in the summer its HOT 97-117 + sometimes as high as 123 as I remember, police and rescue people on a regular basis were rescuing homeless people off the streets because of the harsh weather conditions and you think its ok to lock people up in tents in that same weather for ohhhh the terrible crimes marijuana possession charges and a rash of other NON Violent crimes, yet this same idiot disregards the increasing number of NEGLECTED Felony warrants and criminals that are coming into the state because no one is bothering to go after them in Arizona.

He also feeds the inmates bologna that is on the verge of going bad, as he himself professes.

Funny how someone in this forum would without first hand knowledge support someone like this. he had his day and has since only jot increasing more full of himself.

you know the jail we are talking about is "tent City" right???? it doesn't hold illegals!!!! the city jail is for illegals and its a building with AC and heat, Tent City is for long term prisoners who are NOT ILLEGAL, they have committed assorted non violent crimes. the real bad felons are not chased down because they could be dangerous and may in fact SHOOT back. its easier to chase those migrant workers then actually do anything of value.

And of course the whole illegal immigrant issue is a waste to discuss because people like you still think they are the cause of this crappy economy, again another issue.
