I think it's always nice to have a diversion from thinking about an economy on the brink of total collapse, a worthless currency, a government bent on ruinning everyone with debt that can never be paid back, the collapse of the job market, and........, well you get the picture.

Something new did happen the other day. A little joy came into my life. I performed cpr on my wallet, as it was having chest pains from lack of money inside. After a little rescue breathing, and the placement of a couple dollars inside, all was well again.

In the words of the great Roseann rosanna Dana, "it's always something, if it ain't one thing, it's another". Now those are true words of wisdom. How about a moment of siilence??

Ole Abe Lincoln, that divisive and destructive scoundrel. Look at all the destruction he brought! How divisive to free the slaves and go to war to protect their rights!

ARGH!!!!!!!!! Lincoln was only concerned with slavery because it was ripping the country apart! He was for segregation. He wasn't this big glorious freaking hero that was out to save the slaves! He was out to save the country from being torn apart. *Bangs head against wall*

Yes, what Abe did for the country did lead to good things like the freeing the slaves. And what the heck does Abe have to do with this thread?!!?!?!?!

On topic

Obviously CNN has too much free time on their hands if they are all sitting around and watching SNL. How about do some real news coverage?!

"Saturday Night Live is a very important factor in, uh, how people get information about American politics" -says the douche

I think I understand Obama's mentality.

HITLER. Poor little repressed boy who wanted to be big and powerful.

At Copenhagen's Olympic voting thing, Obama stormed in and gave a speech while others had to stay there for many days to get their turn.

Obama needs to stop following his own unrealistic ambitions.

Funny, I thought the whole reason for the Freedom of the Press thing in the constitution was so cause King George was shuttin us down when we made fun of him and it was to let us make fun of our political leaders and keep them in check by "reporting" the things that they did. Guess, i misread my history when it comes to the united states. I see now that it was for the press to kiss up to the politicians. Wow, was i mistaken.

Oh yeah, that was sarcasm...i know its hard to tell.

I guess it is ok for SNL to mock other Political officials of the present and of the past but just not of our current President. I am sure that it isn't long before this turns into racism and Rev. Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson organize a march to defend him.

I am sick an tired of double standards and certain groups of people want to scream "Foul" when it benefits their obviously low self-esteems.

Ouch, that's gotta sting a little, even though it really wasn't that funny.
Probably because the comic looks/sounds nothing like Obama.
But then again this is just the beginning, expect more SNL skits as time goes on, now that people are finally realizing the Emporer truly has no clothes and especially after the Olympic embarassment.

SNL=racist?

How many remember the movie, The Man Who Would Be King?

Can CNN shove their nose any further up the Obama regime rear entrance? Has CNN ever done this treatment for any other SNL or other comedy troupe skit on another elected official?

Oh Please!

Heaven forbid that anyone change and evolve....

Yeah, thats what it sounds like the fake Obama said. Allthough I think this administration is more than likely trying to model us after Cuba or Venezuela. It's kinda a no brainer that we are heading in that direction...well except for the drones on the left, they don't show any signs of getting it. And this business with CNN will make people even more unwilling to mock Obama in a public setting, as if it isn't hard enough as it is with all the race card throwing. Obama is the leader of the Democratic Socialist Regime, not mine nor many's, CNN can stuff it.

Send them all to Tressel, they would fit in so well....

The fact that people treat SNL and The Daily Show as news pretty much sums up where the general direction of the country is....swirling down the toilet bowl.

And note that they said "SNL is an important factor in how many people get their information around the world..." and not about the world. Something that adds a nice extra touch of ignorance to the whole thing implying that either the US is the whole world or that the whole world actually cares or is aware of SNL existence.

Like if the entire world be stupid enough to consider a crappy show like SNL as news source, damn!

And people still wonder why aliens don't make contact...

A jab here or there might do some good. He might still be in the belief that America likes him. maybe this will help him ........................ah... . no I retract that last statement, simply because as like most... he is just a puppet anyway.

It's kind of funny. Just like when people got all bent out of shape from a political cartoon depicting a monkey as Obama, but if you search google....you'll find many cartoons of Bush drawn as a monkey. Some people like to take things too far. SNL has been doing this since they first started, but now people are calling for censorship when it is NOT required.

It's nothing more than a play on words. Look at Van Jones...he should have never been promoted with his negative background but you don't hear that community making an issue about it. I said it before Obama was elected President and said "The next 4 fours during his Presidency will be more focused on racial comments, and racial beliefs being shoved down the American public's throats". If you don't believe me, then look at the commercials, shows and movies since he has been in office and look at the ethnic target audience in them.

Not to long ago in the news a group was asking "Corporate White America to step down from certain leadership positions so more minorities can step up" Why is color such a focal point during this next 4 years? Is this the time for them to step up since it is viewed as "their only opportunity to do so?"

I think people want to play the skin color cards to help them promote since their own hard work isn't working out for them. SNL is nothing more than comedy and will continue to be that way no matter who is President.

c'mon...CNN didn't "carry any water" for obama against SNL, in fact, in the clip, they were critical that obama hasn't got much done too. this is much ado about nothing, as far as the CNN reporting.

The point is that it found it necessary to 'fact check' in the first place.

It's disgraceful.

And yes, the skit wasn't funny and he did a crappy Obama impersonation.

Cracks me up that he claims SNL has a huge influence on peoples political perception. The last 8 years it was just a comedy show, but now all of the sudden its an influence on people politically.

Im listining to Los Bastardos by Primus and I see brown shirts in the distance.

Its very comforting to see a massive liberal mouthpiece like SNL actually mention the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan because as soon as Obama took office Liberals stopped caring about WARS in fact they kinda support them now.

I hate both parties they are both bought and paid for but i just have one opinion on this...

I say lets end the wars who's with me on that. Even if you like Obama do you still hate war or is war good now if Obama is President.

It wasn't so much the war in Iraq that some of us Liberals were against... it was the way it was "sold" to us.

Instead of saying something like "With Oil the way it is, and with the political climate in that area of the world, it behooves us to have some sort of military presence there" We were lied to, again and again.

What Liberals like me took issue with was not the Afghan War, it was the War in Iraq because of the blatant lies we were told.

Do you know what's going on?

It's called "awareness".

It's something that Americans (I'm generalizing here course) didn't bother much and are now being forced to develop. Most were just happy to isolate them selves from the rest of the world and treat the US as the center of the universe buying all the # that was published in the US media as the whole truth.

AKA BBS (Belly Button Syndrome).

Now that the economic winds have changed and people are starting to see the gray areas, realizing that not everything that is published is automatically the whole truth and becoming aware of things like world geography, world history and things other than US, people are panicking.

It's a normal reaction and it will pass within a decade or two, so relax and enjoy the ride of discovery.

I take issues with all wars because they are all based on lies. Imo opinion and many others 9/11 was a false flag so Afghanistan was a lie. We are in Afghanistan for Heroin production not to free the women in burka's

As for Iraq yes that was a lie and Obama pulled some troops out but replaced them with military contractors that cost 5 times as much oh and the troops he took out of Iraq he sent to Afghanistan and we are getting owned there with not even a remote chance of succeeding at anything. Even the MSM is saying it looks like the election was stolen by Karzai.

So where do you stand? You support Iraq now? or want the troops out. Do you actually see any chance for anything in Afghanistan?
Do you want health care because how in this world can we afford anything when we spend almost all our money on foreign occupations and getting hosed with massive fees from contractors.

We have killed over a million people in Iraq and i don't even know how many in Afghanistan. Even if you believe that Bin Laden did 9/11 does it sit well with you that we have killed over a million brown people when even according to msm there were only 12 highjackers.

Maybe according to people who support these wars brown people in general over there are all guilty and all should die.

Stop the wars stop the killing we are supposed to be civilized. Even if we say they aren't we are, I am.
