History will repeat itself, but because we have morons and incompetent people working in our government we are to become the laughing stock for the rest of the world, because in America education is so downgraded that our politicians never took the defeat of Russian failed attempts to control Afghanistan as course of studies in college.

Yes we will never win Afghanistanand by the time US realizes that it will be many more of our son and daughters to die for the incompetence of our government and their stupidity.

Can't any of you people see that the ultimate goal of this undeclared/socalled war is NOT to WIN , but to keep our forces and bases there as long as possible providing years of profits to the war racketeers/stockholders as long as possible as well as protecting the natural resources that we're after. The same as what we've seen with Iraq.

Win the war ?

Remember....War is a Racket.

I noticed Gates said he needed time to contemplate his next move or something to that effect. How much more time does he need? While he takes his time, soldiers are dying. And they will continue to die while he goes about at his leisurely pace on this issue.

I say it's time for him to man up. He's being given counsel on the best course of action by the General HE put there. He needs to smarten up and take the advice being given to him by the people in the know, because he clearly isn't.
