How many times do I have to say that you don't have to say kill someone...all you have to do is demonize them...the loose screws can take it from there.

As for the examples you cited they are certainly in the wrong....however they do not have their own syndicated show format to spew from...

OK. So let's see if I have this.

Glenn hasn't actually threatened anyone or group, but because he tells people the 'wrong doings' of others he should be condemned because he has his own television show on a cable news network.

But others who actually do threaten others are in the wrong but OK because they don't have their own television show, and have to rely on others to get their hate speech out.

Is that pretty much your reasoning for this thread?

What about Keith Olbermann who has his own television show on a cable news network and tells people the 'wrong doings' of others? Shouldn't he be condemned also for putting ideas in peoples' heads that might make them snap and hurt someone?

There are probably many others we should censor also for telling people things that might make them snap also, aren't there?

Since it is taken out of context (something you guys have been taking me to task in this thread) I have no idea what was said before or after or what it was even about...therefore I can only surmise...and I surmise that he was drawing a contrast...a poor one to be sure...but not actually calling for anyone to be stoned.

As for the other quote it is again taken out of context (I guess its alright for right wing conservatives to take things out of context) so again I do not know what was said before or after...also it was supposedly said in a private forum not a public one...and if he was serious...

He was in the wrong.

At the same time your link does not say who said it at all merely that Matt Drudge reported it...without a name and a valid link...it has no crediblity.

Context is maintained in the quotes I posted, and valid links are provided for both quotes. If you are unable or unwilling to backup what you believe and say, then say so. Don't try to weasel out of this.

I followed your links and one was to the wall steet journal but all it did was cite Matt Drudge without saying who said it...but its links are dead.

As for Baldwin:

From your own source and any fool can see from reading the whole quote that he is drawing an analogy about political apathy in this country and is not actually calling for Henry Hyde to be stoned.

Was Alex Baldwin and the ad in bad taste...absolutely...no doubt...but the ad was roundly condemned and that is all Baldwin was...in bad taste.

And there are plenty of ways of telling a fool like beck to shut up like refusing to watch him or buy his books and BTW its happening since advertisers are abandoning him faster than the right did bush minor when his polls started tanking.

#1 How does Baldwin's shpeel on being in Africa change the meaning of what he said about stoning Henry Hyde to death and killing "their wives and children"? Please explain.

#2 Of course the Kerry campaign and county Dems are going to try to distance themselves from something like that, even if they have the same unvoiced feelings. How that changes what was printed by the St. Petersburg Democratic Club is not quite clear though. Please explain.

Bad taste is one thing. Naming individuals for killing is reprehensible.

Unfortunately.. I believe that Glenn Beck is just a neo-con in disguise. He doesn't care about "We the people" unless the people are boosting his ratings. He relies on a good old republican tactic of screaming socialism, or communism. Hell, throw in facism and hitler and you got yourself some good propaganda.

If Glenn Beck supported the constitution, I'd give him the time of day.. But he has already admitted several times he is all for the patriot act which signals to me.. he just says he supports it without actually doing so. Which is easy to say something and not actually mean it. Just look at how Obama got elected.

Ultimately, Glenn Beck along with Dennis Miller, Keith Olberman, Jon Steward and Stephen Colbert remind me why you shouldn't listen to comedians for your political views.

Look how far that got California when they elected an action star to govern them.

I don't care what people THINK he is, as long as he is getting people to do what we all should have done for the past 6 -8 years telling washington about their up-comming judgement day when not a single incumbent is re-elected. We may not get all of em but if we got most, it sure would send the message who they really work for.

Neocons don't go around wanting to end the Fed. Neocons don't conjure up 1.5 million people to march on Washington DC in opposition of the government. Neocons are on the same mission as the socialist, progressives, nazis, democrat left wing nuts. That is to create a new world order. Beck continuously tells his viewers he's a Libertarian, not Republican. he's third-party so shut up about extreme right or neocon when you talk about Beck.

I guess ultra-libs have nothing better to do than pick their noses and cry when someone has an opinion against them. As far as his show ratings and book sales.... he's the most watched show on television at 5pm every weekday. He's got higher ratings than all other primetime hosts on other channels in all time slots. His books have all reached "best-seller" status in their infancy. The advertisers that ditched him are replaced and it's their loss because he has a lot of viewers. so stop your yapping cry baby!

I think this says it all about the hard right's fantasies about Obama as hawked by beck and his ilk.
