Today’s women are failures.

We like to think that we are smart.

We like to think that we are strong and we like to think that we are in control,

How much more can we lie to ourselves.

How bare can we be stripped?

How deep can we bury ourselves?

How much can we give away of ourselves before we realize that life, love and commitment is part of being the you that "you" develop. Not the part of the you that you have destroyed.

I would like to have a conservation with you concerning your post.

Would you please explain just what you are talking about?

I can't get my mind around what you are asking/stating except that women are failures.

Surely there is more to your post than you've explained.

If you are emotionally distraught I am truly sorry.

Maybe talking it out will make you feel better.

Hmmmm... I'm confused. This makes no sense. Is this just some thread to try to get people going?!?!? If this is how you feel speak for yourself, but I would never put myself in that catagory.

I'm with concernedcitizen - what's up SpiritoftheNightSky?

you put it all out there - now make it make sense

despair - or baiting?

either way - it's a good start

I'm also a little confused ...

Though the questions have merit ... for both women and men.

I don't agree with the failure part though.

... Thats rather arrogant to say...

A person is held up to their own standards if you have a problem with your society or other people sure i get that but your not going to mass format a soul to your idea of respectable.

And will and have the right to tell you what to go do with your sensibilities male or female.

Being smart success stories or being a paragon in your eyes has to do MORE with how you view yourself.

not necessarily

the whole how we view ourselves angle - not only done to death - but also not altogether accurate

I'm more interested in hearing where she (I'm assuming) is going with this

Hello! My mother always said women are the superior race, in every way.
We don't get side tracked by our penice. If your are depressed see a medical professional, for mood stabilizers, hormonal replacement therapy, etc... Woman can do anything a man can, except pee standing up. Its just too messy.

I know I'm not sidetracked by mine

but, enough kidding around...

I think it's too soon to sweep this aside as a statement made by someone who needs to be "stabilized"

asking hard questions - something I can appreciate

I do envy them that though. Most definately at times.

It is hitting a strange note with me too, and am patiently awaiting a little more input from the OP. Hope it's forthcoming.

This is rather disconcerting ...

A fellow member in obvious angst posts a worrying and somewhat cryptic message and then logs of without further explanation.

Though I hope that she is alright and this is borne out of mere frustration rather than deep desperation, I also find it rather unfair to other ATS members who are kind, considerate, and empathic by nature and who are now left to wonder and fear for the worst.

I hope she returns soon ...

here's the thing though -

Women fail but they don't lose!

really excellent - must have more

I have my own thoughts on this - sure we all do

but you're right - really want to hear her version

maybe we spooked her - or maybe she's busy pounding it out as we speak...

Agreed (somewhat) that there's something intriguing there that merits further exploration ...

What I was referring to when I said I don't agree is this part:

Today’s women are failures.

Such expression, or at least the place one has to be to make it, is somewhat worrying to me.

Edit to add: I really hope and trust that the reason this is in this forum is not as an experiment to how people react to artificial cryptic cries for help. That would be a pretty horrible thing to do.

:-)

well - I'm just twisted enough to appreciate a good topic no matter how it got here

but - looking at her last thread - think she's serious

one of those things I actually understand - having the idea - but an inability to give it form

that's me being optimistic - she might be halfway to Albuquerque by now

Lol, why Albuquerque?

Actually never mind, my decryption abilities of the fairer sex are most lacking on the best of days, never mind this instance ...

Let me know how this pans out, I'm off to ponder some quantum theory for intellectual relief.
