Chinese army made incursion in Uttarakhand on September 5 and again on September 13

"The Indian Government sleeps while Chinese intrusions in India increase exponentially. Provoking India again, Chinese Army (PLA) made incursion in Uttarakhand on September 5, and on September 13. Some Indian TV reports said that the state Chief Minister of Uttrakhand in India has appealed to the prime minister and the home ministry for more patrolling force to strengthen the border areas."

"According to locals in the area, the Chinese military came as far as Rimkhim in the Chamoli district and left behind cigarettes and biscuit packet wrappers. They painted China on the ground to provoke local people and officials. Two weeks ago, the Indian army had confirmed Chinese incursion in Leh. Chinese helicopters are also intruding in Uttrarakhand and Ladack to scare Indian population."

Never thought that I would hear of something like that. I wonder what China has planned in the grand scheme of things. Do they want to start a war with India?

Maybe they want to knock India out as a threat while they think they can do it easily.

More than likely just flexing, like those Russian bombers coming into UK airspace a while back.

Nothing will come of it, it's just showing off.

It sounds like China is doing a rather benign version of what the US is doing right now in Nothern Pakistan. None of it bodes well as I think the geopolitical saber-rattling may get out of hand. God only knows what these governments are thinking (if indeed they even are).

What's funny is China is most likely profiting off the arms they buy from the US.

In 1962, when "Hindi Cheeni Bhai Bhai (Indian and Chinese are brothers) slogan was being chanted; suddenly, China attacked India and captured around 200 Km area and even now, it still claims to own the area under one state called "Arunachal pradesh" in India. The disputed border talks and diplomacy has been going on for last 30 years; it seems Indian leadership wants it to continue; but China is taking the advantage of this and preparing itself for another war and creating infrastructure around border region and some strategically important areas. China has been Pakistan at all levels to destabilize India. It seems like India is a victim of poor and coward leadership to take on these threats directly; rather ignoring them.
