I was checking photos of Phobos when i found something odd.
2 lights turned on inside a Phobos crater.
Read the Wiki page on Phobos. Density unusually low.
Almost as if it hollow?!
Like a manned spacestation inside?

Viking Photo 1978 - see bottom crater

WOW ! !

That REALLY looks like an "inteligently" made radar dish,
when you look rapidly ! ! !

Could also be a crater-inside-the-crater.

Hard to tell ! Good find!

Blue skies.

Would you mind circling what you are pointing out? Just changed from my mobile that I could look at pic. Can see faint marks in crater but don't know if it's marks on my screen.

Insane pic though

Cancel that. Not on my screen.

They look like some sort of pixel error.

Yes. If you look REALLY closely, i see 2 small lights together plus 1
more to the right. Bottom crater.
Oh yeah! I see the radar dish looking crater on top also! Wow!
Thank you Wikipedia!

Yeah thanks. I only noticed when I saved the image. Zoom shows nothing. Would there be any way to actually figure out if something was there? To the op if you don't mind me asking. How did you come across this?

Retro-reflection maybe?

ahhh hahaha, You're out of your element Donnie!
The Dude Abides.
Thanks for making a brother laugh.

I would honestly go with pixelation/photo/lense error/reflection of some sort...the simplest explanation is generally the best. BUUUUT, seeing as how we don't know I'll continue to ponder the existence of installations/bunkers/radar dishes on the 36,000,000-250,000,000 mile away phobos.

Look at this way.
When you're trying to land your shuttlecraft just aim in the
middle of those 2 lights so you don't hit the moon surface.

Who knows? There is another 'mark' just below to the left. I have to just say I'm impressed by ATSers dedication to the cause. To have the patience to sift through every pic out there.

My last question. Is this 2 images put together to make it look like 1? The top does no lining up what so ever.

Sorry 1 more, where is a good quality pic of this? Strange marks all over this one.

I too would like for the OP to circle what exactly it is he's refering to. I don't see anything that resembles what it is he is refering too.

Yes. Go see for yourself. Wikipedia - type phobos (moon).
When you scroll the page you see the thumbnail pic.
Easy to skip over.
When you view the large pic. There it is.

After nosing around a bit ...im going with image processing error.

yleeone.tripod.com...

Here you can see how bad it really is, it extends out towards the left off of the side of Phobos as well as you can see where it was spliced on the bottom left.

Super cool pic though nonetheless love the Death Star Radar dish look at the top but not an alien moonbase imo
