This is very interesting, but I cannot help but think: what will an investigation really do?

TPTB will cover up their involvement in any investigation done, including an investigation by New York City. Referendum or not, period.

I have a feeling that this coverup will continue until TPTB need a reason to disclose and make it public (like to incite civil unrest, perhaps?), and until then any official investigation not done truly by the people will be useless. Hope I'm wrong though!

Hmmm... no-one seems to have brought this up on the JREF forums yet... that's odd.

It gets the word out, puts huge pressure on "them" because it's unpredictable. Just the act of demanding answers and maybe getting some teeth (subpeona power), that's freightening for the PTB.

They should be freightened, for what they were involved in.

Whether there actually IS another investigation isn't as relevant.

Let the perps feel some heat!

The hope lies in the fact that it will be an investigation in New York and not a branch of the federal government. I would think this might make it harder for the perps to hide or control.
