Self-described church minister sole suspect in jet hijacking, official says

CNN) — A 44-year-old Bolivian drug addict and alcoholic was responsible for the hijacking Wednesday of a commercial jetliner, a Mexican official said.

Genaro Garcia Luna, the secretary for public security, told reporters that the suspect told authorities he hijacked the jet because the date — September 9, 2009, or 9/9/9 — held some significance for him.

9/9/09 held a significant meaning to the hijackers. I wonder if it was one of our fellow ATSers? This guy (according to the article) is a drug addict and alcoholic. I wonder what importance this date has to an addict? Anyway, I saw this and figured I would share, as many on here seem to also think that September 09, 2009 holds some significance.

I noticed on yahoo news this morning while I was drinking some coffee, a headline said something about 9-9-09 and conspiracy theorists think this date means something.....

So, now we have the MSM saying the hijacker was a boozer and a drug addict, who choose to jack a plane because he felt 9-9-9 was important....

Charlie Sheen is a substance abuser and he is a conspiracy theorist who hoaxs interviews with presidents about planes.....Didn’t the boozing, drug addict who jacked a plan this afternoon, didn’t he wanna talk to Mexico’s pres?

I think this story is slanderous and could play toward what the National Guard video guy is suggesting....I dunno.

I dont have any links to back up my story.

MEXICO CITY (CNN) -- A 44-year-old Bolivian drug addict and alcoholic who describes himself as a church minister was responsible for the brief hijacking Wednesday of a commercial jetliner, a Mexican official said.

The suspect -- Jose Mar Flores -- told authorities he hijacked the jet because the date -- September 9, 2009, or 9/9/9, and 666 reversed -- held some significance for him, said Genaro Garcia Luna, the secretary for public safety.

"He said that because of that divine reference he wanted to alert Mexico City of an earthquake," Garcia told reporters.

Hmmmmmm!!!! Sounds very familiar...I wonder if he had his tinfoil hat on when he was taken into custody?

This is a silly story isn't it?

A man hijacks a plane

He says that he wants to speak with the President

He releases the hijackers

And he's not a terrorist

And he did it just because of the date?



This gave me a good laugh.
