I was thinking the other day....
Why not have a dedicated PDF archive for free books here at ATS.
If you have a great thread idea, why not make a pdf of it as well and upload it to MATS ?
Eventually we could end up with a ATS style survival or hint book in pdf.
Any thoughts ?

Not a bad idea at all

I'm not sure it wouldn't be just a rough copy of all the other survival handbooks out there, just in pdf form. Pretty much all the survival info is the same these days, people just find different ways of presenting it.

I must admit though, the thought of an ATS survival manual in the form of one of those little "SAS survival" books would be cool. Especially if it was written with a conspiracy theorist theme to it.

Maybe a section on zombie survival too.

I thinks it's possible really.
We have some good minds that can make informative threads with pics.
"How to's" as well.
We could just submit using the title ATS_SHB or something.

But the things is it a little disorganized in here I believe.
We need more sticky threads that would make it easier.
The information and tutorial threads for instance.
Now that we have an FSME that can edit such things.

great idea! it would be awesome to have all the info in one handy book, especially if the entire group gave input on which info to include and such. with self publishing nowadays it wouldn't to hard to get made up

Hmmm.. I don't even know if we would "have" to go to hard copy necessarily.
That could be up to the individuals really and would be dependent on the page size we choose.
It doesn't need to be 800 pages long or anything.

The truth of the matter is that we have a few people that are good at code here and we could end up with the ATS digital encyclopedia of survival.

For instance, I wonder how long it would take us get pictures of all the wild edibles that are out there.
Create Video or picture tutorials.
There is allot of us here at ATS.
It doesn't have to be confined to just the survival forum.

If we started defining what the chapters would be about that would be the next step.

Well thank you,but I kinda thought we were smart enough, had enough skills and experience (on a whole) to write one ourselves.
