The BBC reports on growing sentiment that the situation in Iraq has been so mishandled that there may be no good exit strategy available. But it's not just the Brits who are upset about it.

A fairly telling quote from US officers begins with:

In a remarkable series of interviews in the Washington Post, senior American army officers have openly expressed doubts about whether the United States will win

news.bbc.co.uk...

...and of course, newspapers worldwide picked up on this:
www.atimes.com...

...and
www.spacewar.com...

The intriguing thing is that beyond the Washington Post, no other news organization in the US seems to have picked up on that story.

Questions and one I have not seen mentioned in all those articles Bryd:
* "senior American army officers" represents what number exactly, in respect to the total "senior American army officers" within the US Army?

* What percent do they constitute in 'voice'?

* How many within the US military, as a whole?

* Are they a minority or a majority?

Perhaps this is why that those "senior American army officers" story is not being picked up by most news media outlets....because it is the 'voice' of a small number?
