Correct me if I'm wrong but I imagine that each wheel has an electric motor inside it. This rover has lasted way longer than expected and another wheel has stopped turning. Is it possible that the spark is from the electric motor?

It just seems odd that the right wheel is in direct sunlight but the camera doesn't get overloaded from that side too.

Not every reflection on that picture of the heat shield that I posted causes on overloaded sensor, either:

True, but all the parts that are overloading the camera in that pic are facing direct sunlight.

I'm not saying that isn't what's causing it but I am curious as to weather or not it is even remtotely possible that the rover itself might be causing it. Like for instance the way an electic motor can put off a spark.
