I'm sorry but did someone use the words, "morals", and "France", in the same sentence? The French have no morals what so ever. Their lorry drivers blockade ports causing chaos for holiday makers and British haulage firms. Their Air Traffic Controllers go on strike at the drop of a hat- usually just at the beginnng of the holiday season! They never miss a chance to insult British or Americans seemingly forgetting that it was the brave people of those two countries who liberated it during WW2. . . The French only care about themselves and everyone else can go and swing. . .

The French are to morals what Paris Hilton is to common sense!

Yeah, you only watched the golf swing, and enough to make the comment about throwing like a girl.

Then took the time to post the video on the thread.

Sure, we all believe that.

Exactly what does a gold swing have to do with being a good president?

You are a perfect example of exactly what the op is talking about.

Hmm, going on strike is an example of bad morality?

WOW, such a good slave.

A nation wide strike is just what we need in the U.S., along with a nice long boycott. Say, for thirty days we do nothing and buy nothing. That just might bring the corporate world to its knees.

The whole freaking house of cards would collapse, as the fractional money system would simply implode.

Keep your Canuck nose out of our business. Who gives a rat's butt what you do or don't like about the US. If you're not a citizen of this country, your opinion doesn't mean squat.

I have no idea what this even means, and why you would find it "funny".

So?

Sure, we all believe that.

I have absolutely no idea what you think you're accusing me of

Did you notice the name at the top of my comment? It linked to his comment:

Both parties work for the same people(the elites). You are right not to criticize the people holding office. They come and go ,but the agenda of the elites remains the same to strip you of all your rights. You had better start attacking every peice of legislation designed to erode your lifestyle and rights. It does not matter which party pushes a bad law or bill on behalf of the elites. You will regret this crappy bill designed to strip patients of rights and choices long after Obama leaves office. I'm sure Obama will shed crockadile tears for you as he plays golf with Bush 1 and 2.

I was responding to that.

You posted the video to be annoying, and that was the only purpose. I think it is funny how fascinated with Obama conservatives seem to be, so I made a comment. If you don't want comments like this, don't put it out intentionally annoying stuff in the first place.

Sorry, but GW and Obama do not work together, and they won't be playing golf together unless it is a cross party diplomacy type of thing. They are clearly on opposite sides. This is why Obama will undo everything GW has done, just as GW undid what Clinton had done, and Clinton undid what was done during Reagan and GW. At least Clinton's policies lead to prosperity, Republicans have a long record of destroying our economy, every Republican president going back to Harding has left the U.S. economy shredded.

While the demos have to go to the elites for campaign cash, as the alternative to the repubs, they don't cater to the elites nearly as much as conservatives. The repubs are in fact led by the elites, old money GW and Cheney. They do everything they can to rob from the middle class to give to the rich.

Democratic elitism works in different ways. Currently democrats are all too willing to discriminate against white males in order to defend the rights of minorities and women, and this discrimination by demos against white males does need to stop. It seems that too many of them are too obsessed by perceived snubs by jocks in high school if you ask me.

EDIT ADDED

Repub elites don't care any more about the average white guy than the demos these days, which is something so many of the Reagan democrats are beginning to wake up and see. The problem is they are still so hooked on the free market scam.

Corporate elites given monopolies over things like healthcare and banking are far worse than government involvement, and the mess that is both of these institution currently is proof of that.

Uh Oh.. I guess we are screwed.
Sorry to have pissed you off so much.

Whine, whine whine....

The "We're tired of your crap America" you are talking about isn't a debate with CANADA, FRANCE, or any other country, it's an AMERICAN debate. It has NOTHING to do with you. So, the affairs of America are the affairs of America, period.

When some of us use other country models of government systems we are not engaging YOU (or that country) in a debate. Regardless of the accuracy of the content, it has nothing to do with YOU or your country.

Just because some of "us" distort or misread the efficiency, effectiveness, rationing (or lack thereof) doesn't mean you are invited to the table to straighten us out. We (our citizens) don't invade your political or social debates with a ridiculous indignation as you just did.

ESPECIALLY when there are people IN YOUR COUNTRY who don't feel the system is as rosey as you do, when there are people IN YOUR COUNTRY who feel your systems are indeed SOCIALISTIC, when there are people IN YOUR COUNTRY who feel your systems are indeed rationed, ineffective and overburdened.

Where do you get off yelling at US for having a debate about OUR country.
Why do other countries citizens feel the need to judge us, but then immediatley go ballistic when we judge them?

Hypocritical much?

We aren't engaging YOU in the debate.. so pull down your bunched up panties eh?

We know our health care system is screwed, we know it needs to be fixed.
We are engaged ion a debate, hopefully something good will come of it.

So kindly.. bugger off. Eh?

MAYBE it is time we dusted off the Monroe doctrine, and started reconsidering its wisdom. We need to start doing the things our founding fathers desired.

It seems that all we are getting out of the $$$TRILLIONS of dollars we spend on military projecting out power overseas is that people don't like us.

We should stop sending all the money overseas, and start spending it here in the U.S., doing things like, rebuilding our infrastructure, all those crumbling bridges that we pay to be re-built regularly, through our gas tax money alone.

Instead of maintaining the military capability to carry out two wars, on both sides of the huge oceans that isolate us from attacks, we spend the money on our own nationalized health care system.

It is time to let the super rich pay to protect their own assets overseas. I am tired of paying my tax dollars to subsidize the exportation of jobs.

You can't compare any country in the world to America. America has more guns, violence, lack of morals, etc. than Canada and France combined. there is only 1 america. What worked in Canada is assured to work here. America stands alone because there is only one country with america's people and america's past.

Please cite sources for the lack of morals of America. The French and Canadians believe theft should be legal (ie taking from people without their permission to fund social programs) which I view as highly immoral. Also, the French seem to have a habit of burning people's cars down... is that from a jealous rage they they themselves do not own a car... if not then what? I'm talking about the morals of people on the street and not those in political power. I can't say I'm particularly thrilled with America's moral values but they seem a slight improvement over those of the French and Canadians.

Generally moral values are not measured. However, one measure of moral values that is most meaningful to me that is measured is the level of generosity by individuals to others. So when you take two comparable disposable incomes... one in France in America... who is the more generous person? Of course that is only one portion of moral values.

A citation for the additional violence in America would be helpful too, as firstly I do have some doubt and secondly I am betting once you take out violence related to the war on drugs, America is actually a more peaceful country than either France or Canada.

Lastly I'd like to point out I believe the safest and least violent country by my theory would have a good fraction of its citizens carrying concealed handguns, but at the same time not having wars against matters of personal liberty.

The amount of failed marriages, children without active fathers, std's, violence, and criminals is all the proof you need that many Americans are in fact simply animals.

Come on in the waters fine!

Do it illegally and you even get free medical!

It is easy to speak from a vantage point far away.

Now if you lived here and actually saw the feedoms dissappearing you might think different.

But without this point of view I guess it is easy to make comments and grandiose statements isn't it?

Namaste!

I will say that you have a good point. I agree with you on many points but not all.

I do agree with you on the healthcare 110%, but now is not the time. He should have reigned in spending first, Focused on fixing our economy. I know this may sound like typical american the world revolves around us but it seems to me that fixing the american economy should be the worlds priority. We collapsed and the rest of the world followed suit. Just like many of our corparations we are to big to let fail. his whole thing should have waited till it was time to make the 2010 budget and then we could have spent more time ironong out the details rather then forcing through a plan that was halfed assed.

As far "ending the war on terror" he is doing just that. In iraq he has set a pull out date (something that bush refused to do) No in afganinstain it's a diffrent story. We now seem to be doing what we should have been doing from sept 12th 2001, looking for bin laiden. But now that bush &*^$%&$@#@*^ our country so bad I'm at odds if we should be over there now.

These ignorint fools that you see on tv at obama rallies are people that are afraid of change. They also will believe just about anything. Sarah Palin said that our new health care bill will give the government the power to determine if grandma deserves to live by her age and what she has contributed to socitiy, also that this bill encourges assisted suicide, and the people beleived her!!!!!!! It is a sad fact but many of us americans have gotten to a point that we dont care about our neighbor. we have adopted the mentality that if it effects me then its bad screw how many millions it helps.

Please tell me what freedoms are disappearing. I hear people saying this all the time. I'm 30yrs old and I have not noticed one of my freedoms just vanish. I have noticed some changes but nothing gone. The biggest change I have noticed as far as freedoms go is with guns. But I can still own them, I can still operate them. Oh maybe your talking about the freedom of speech, nope this site is proof that we still have that one. OH OH OH I know the freedom of religion. we cant choose what god we want to worship or even if we want to worship one. nope not it I think this is one of the most diverse countries when it comes to religion. Damn I cant think of one freedom that has been taken from us. Please enlighten me

The biggest freedom that was taken away is the requirement of a warrant for search and seizure. This was a fundamental right that was one of the reason our founding fathers fought the revolutionary war to establish. Eliminating warrants is a huge abuse of the system.

Licensing requirements restrict your right to travel. Shouldn't be required, unless something goes wrong. It is an establishment of guilt before innocence.

All this criminalization of mistakes is a travesty, which results in unlawful seizure of property, and it shouldn't be allowed.

Maybe you don't notice the loss of these freedoms, because you grew up after they were taken away.
