First of all, this wasn't a vote, it was a poll. A poll has no weight in what must be done by the Government.
Second, other polls have found the exact opposite of this result, more than 80% *opposed* to Obama releasing the BC. Why is this, I wonder? It's
because the polls are not objective. You ask the right people, or ask a question in the right way, and you can get any result you want.
Third, what is this "releasing" of the birth certificate? It's a public record. It's available for examination, and has at least twice been
examined by people who had no axe to grind, who stated it was fine. Additionally, the officials in Hawaii who are in charge of these records have
twice come out to verify that this is, indeed, the legitimate birth certificate for Obama.
Beyond all that, did you think no one checked *before* Obama ran for office? Suddenly you've got a guy sworn into office after a Presidential
campaign, and just now someone asks, "Gee, I wonder whether he was born in the US"?
You can bet that the Republican Party looked into this during the campaign, and had they found the slightest doubt about Obama's place of birth,
would have hammered on it all throughout the campaign. They didn't. Are they that stupid to have missed it? No. There was nothing there, that's
all.
