What got you into looking into this type of stuff?

I dont think that is really her. I could be wrong... but... what, don't you guys recall that other picture with a lady standing by a Lockheed Martin building? I thought that was a dead giveaway of what she looks like. Correct me if I am wrong, though. On second thought, you guys may be right... but the two pictures *seem* to demonstrate two different people. Not that I really care.

Uhm, I really don't know... my naturally freakish nature perhaps? I watched The X Files and Star Trek and all of those types of things when I was really young, but I was interested in this stuff even before that. I really don't know where it came from, it's somewhat of an odd interest of mine, since I went to a Catholic school and they usually condemn the paranormal and all that fun stuff.

Originally, I think it was my father's intellectual influence that got me interested in [I can't think of a better term than 'this kind of stuff']. He used to work at / for Los Alamos National Laboratories, EG&G, and another installation in Colorado that made and stored nuclear weapon parts. He is into science, and inspired me to ask questions.

...So, one day I had questions about extraterrestrial aliens, remote viewing, politics, conspiracies, et cetera. I used Google to find ATS (among other sites), when I was about 9 or 10 years old. That was four years ago, way back when ATS was just a tiny site that encompassed only the articles you see on the left on the front page. It had no forum back then.

Then I became obsessed with online communities, naturally, since I have had problems with real-life sociality, and started using ATS again.

Both pictures are her, one is at work (with sunglasses) the other is in front of a Raytheon booth at a recent defense industry expo & job fair. The only reason I would know is that she sent copies of the pix to me before they were photoshopped and I've met her in person.

damned the c/o of raytheon promised me years ago some pix of the Q planes they handled...

The truth about JFK planted the conspiracy seed in my brain many, many years ago. So, I've always wondered who THEY are/were.
My general distrusct for anything I hear or see on the news.
I also didn't fit the mold of most ofm the women I grew up around.

I think for me, experiencing a few different types of ESP as a kid growing up made me realize that there is a lot more to this world than what we currently understand. Then as I got older, I seemed to be almost pushed by my own thinking and a strange internal drive developed that said, look deeper.

I have since experienced so many different things that I cannot explain, that it just feeds my curiosity like adding logs to a fire. Being my own person, I feel the need to express these things and try to grasp some meaning and that leads me to a better understanding of myself and my fellow human being.

My own curiosity and need to understand what I have experienced still drives me farther and farther into the realms of unexplored territiry for myself. I cant take anyones word for something, I NEED to experience it for myself before I will accept something.

Several things happening within a short period of time, which happened almost 15 years ago.

A series of special Unsolved Mysteries. One on Ghosts, one on UFO's, one on the Bermuda Triangle, one on spontainious human combustion, and one on something else that I can't remember.

Randomly picking up a book during middle school oriantation a couple of weeks later. The book ended up being on greek mythologies, which led me to other types of mythology, which eventually lead to Atlantis.

Sighting a UFO a couple of weeks before the Unsolved Mysteries specials.

And finally a series of teachers, all telling me to question everything, and believe nothing without first researching it myself.

What lead me specifically to this site? Having too much time on my hands.

For me, this was an excelent random discovery. I've always been interested in science, discovery, truth, covert truth, and everything that goes with it. I just stumbled upon ATS while browsing the web.
I've found this site to be an amazing resource - unbaised, informative, somewhere to exchange ideas and opinions with an intelligent user base. I must admit to being hooked!

I suppose i've been into this kind of stuff since my mom bought me books about planets and electricity instead of 'mr men' when i was 3 or 4.

no serious , mother / father / grandparents came home from wales uk about 15 years ago and told me that the motorway had come to a standstill because a large metalic object was hovering over a nearby field.

no news apeared on tv and i figured that it was odd.

as soon as i got internet , i decided to look into it myself
