UFO - Extraterrestrial Contact

Former Canadian Defence Minister Paul Hellyer

Exposing the truth regards to UFO / Unidentified Flying Objects & Extraterrestrial Life.

Recorded at the April 2008 X-Conference at the National Press Club, Washington D.C

Disclosure Project was set up and headed by Dr. Steven Greer in 1993. To date, several hundred such witnesses have been identified throughout the world and spanning every branch of the armed services, the NRO, DIA, CIA, NASA, the former USSR, and other agencies and countries.

High-level witnesses include Doctors, Scientists, Government Officials testimonies.

These are comments of the Canadian former Defence Minister, a senior cabinet member, that is in charge of national defence, the military, expenditure, policy, military intelligence and war.

While the overall direction of government policy is made by the prime minister and on occasions by a vote in the cabinet, the minister of defense employs these decisions on an operational basis. More often than not, certain secrets are exclusively disclosed to the minister of defence on a need to know basis but not to the leader o the country.

So we find ourselves listening to an individual entrusted to defend his country at one time telling us this extraordinary information. Our we to believe that he is crazy or that he is actually telling the truth?

More interestingly, he chooses to disclose information of "visitors" to Earth in the context of what he describes as the "deceit, lies and darkness" of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Hellyer and his claims have been discussed on ATS before so I'm familiar with his views. His pedigree is apparently impeccable. What I don't understand is how he's come under the wing of the Exopolitics believers. It's such a USAcentrist concept that it can't be the reality these guys describe. Too full of holes...

Hellyer & exopolitics suggests that aliens are visiting and are harmless in intent. He describes incidents of US planes crashing through interference from the propulsion systems of the alien craft. He then describes how the US then developed a policy of shooting at them...Roswell is touted as an example. Nowadays, he claims, we 'fight them off.'

The recent history of UFOs (that we can be certain about) goes back to the 40s. The US wasn't the global influence it grew to be. It didn't have airbases in the dozens of countries it now does. It had no friends in China or the Soviet Bloc countries. Why then, didn't the friendly aliens approach other countries? Why don't they now?

Are we supposed to believe that US influence (or shadow govt) dictates the activities of not just every nation on Earth, but those of extraterrestrials too?

The underlying theme of Greer, exopolitics et al is that any human interaction, technology trade etc with ET is utterly dependent on US acknowledgment of their existence. Am I alone in thinking the idea is ludicrous?

He seems like a very sane person. Wow As a Canadian, why have I never heard of this before?

Not at all. Just taking the UFO phenomenon at face value tells you this idea is absurd. That is, alien race was able to cross the stars, employing a technology level unparalleled by anything on Earth, violating our airspace at will, and abducting our citizens with impunity. Then we are expected to believe somehow, the United States, impotent to stop the aliens in the above cases, is dictating the terms of contact to the aliens.

As far as Hellyer is concerned, as has been mentioned in thread after thread, the man is not saying anything of substance. He was not privy to any information of this sort when he was Minister of Defense. He is not speaking from first hand knowledge. All of his information is second-hand, coming after his retirement, when he read The Day After Roswell. He claims a contact within the US government, but it does not hold up when examined with any logic, especially in context of the Expolitics' narrative.

No, your not alone. It's egocentric and narcissistic and therein lies the fatal flaw in it's logic. Those UFO's always have to land on the Whitehouse Lawn you know. Apparently nowhere else is acceptable!

No offense to my fine American friends on the forum
