Highland UFO

This was a thread started by gordon31, but was closed down as it was in Introduction Forum.(and I just did too! what a fool I am!) I thought it was a good find so I ll post it for him.

seen this in newspaper and it quite near me so wondered what u all thought but cant make a thread about it as im new,

Great find, not to far away from me too, about 40 miles or so,
You can tell by there voice's they spooked by it,
I don't know what it was but there has been a lot more UFO sightings in the Highlands this year.

I'll be sky watching a lot more now, starred and flagged(well it was in your thread!), good find gordon31

I bet know one can understand them in the video unless they from Scotland! (even some Scots might find it hard!)

if so many people seen it there has to be more pics and or videos, hopefully someone can find more info about this or clear up what they are

The photo does not look right to me, if you convert it to a negative and enlarge it quite a few times you will see a boarder around the picture. I am by no means and expert on photography and maybe that is all just part of the photo.
Makes me wonder that's all.

i thought that at first but after reading article someone says the were hovering then moving away at speed, im no expert or in anyway claim these are real but dont latern just float around

If the UFOs shown in the photo actually had rings around them, then that would be something special!
Going by the video, the eyewitness testimony and the general opinion of the forum on the link, it seems to be .....dare I say it.....lanterns.

I can't seem to find any other video's of pictures of this,
hopefully more will come out soon, only seem to be reported in the Sun.

I don't know about Chinese Lanterns, but I have never heard of them beaning let off anywhere near this sighting, not saying they don't but I just haven't heard of any.

Muir of Ord is a small village with a population: 1,812, I bet the whole village is talking about this.

thanks for sharing this. We had objects like these that changed color over our house every night last week until about 3 days ago they just vanished. They are no longer there, but they moved and changed position just like these in the video did.. always hung in the same general area of the sky though. Unfortunately my daughters camera was not sufficient to catch them they were just too high up. When I think about all the things I would have if I just had some decent equipment it really bugs the hell out of me sometimes.

i watched the video, there reactions seems very legitimate to me.

and the 3 points of light move strange, they even make a perfect triangle at one point for some time.

haha, one of the best post I v seen on ATS!, great translating.
I still can't find much on this, other than the Sun Newspaper, but the local rag is out on Thursday or Friday I think,
so I ll check there for any new info.

I should really say all stars should go to gordon31 and not me as it was his find and if the mods can give him the flags instead of me when he has enough posts that would be great as I only posted as I thought it was a good thread that he started.

WOW, just WOW,

They are in the first part of the video in the exact same formation as in my recent sighting!!!

Those are lanterns, it's obvious. the video displays none of the spirals or aerobatics that are claimed to have happend.

They look and act like lanterns, they glow an orange/yellow colour and move slowly as if carried by the wind, you can even see them flickering!

I have used these myself countless times, I have absoloute first hand experience and have even managed to trigger false sightings unintentionally.

Unless someone can show me an undedited video of those lights actually lingering for 3 hours like claimed then I personally dismiss it out of hand and encourage others to do likewise.

I'd be amazed if there is a video of them that lasts more than 15 minutes!

They may well be lanterns but if they are, then they fooled a lot of people in the same area for a good few hours, it's a shame there is only one video out, I was hoping more would come out.
