The color of the grass doesn't matter. You have to get your nose into the bag to determine whether it's worth smoking. But that's another story.

Because no one knows the answer and it's a classic.

When you follow the chicken's path of evolution from dinosaur or other bird into chicken, there must have been a defining animal that became the chicken. Whatever kind of dinosaur or bird the chicken evolved from would have laid a slightly mutated egg. The mutated egg would have grown into a mutated bird later to be named 'chicken'. Chicken came from his egg which was different than the egg his parents were in
(for the fact that a chicken came out of his). Booyaa!! Egg was first.
