Here are some descriptions of Indigo children characteristics straight from Nancy Anne Tappe - the woman who came up with the label.

- Their peer group is their life
- Short attention span
- Most consistently physically active
- Naive - they will do their action in front of the police
- Prefer impulse to habit
- Prefer a relaxed approach to work
- Resent long hours or deadlines unless they are working with friends
- Music is their therapy
- Dramatic
- Love to wear the latest fashions
- Never pay attention to a price tag
- Love expensive things
- Can play victim
- They sparkle when they perform
- Vulnerable to their social standing
- The most complex to deal with in school because they don't think they make mistakes
- Dreamy
- They zone out when disciplined
- Will withdraw from people when stressed
- People are their tools. If they can't use them, they discard them
- When their self-esteem button is pushed, they get angry
- They are often easy-going but can fly into a sudden rage.
- They are abstract thinkers, often conceptualizing things that won't occur until far into the future.
- Right now, they are just waiting for the world to realize they are right.
- They can be classroom disrupters, only because their thought processes are so different from the norm.
- They often make strange and peculiar noises.

Sounds like an average teenager to me. What do you think?

Either that or they're simply psychologically maladjusted and impaired individuals ... a far cry from the oft touted "next step" in the human species evolution !

Sounds to me like she mentioned all the symtoms of 'ADHD' which I think is a very generic syndrome but that's another thread...

Funny you should mention that...

Tober and Carroll's book The Indigo Children linked the concept with diagnosis of attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), makes the case that indigos are a new stage of evolution rather than children with a medical diagnosis, and that "indigos" require special treatment rather than medications.

Source: Wikipedia

Personally I think there is no such thing as ADHD - just kids who eat too much sugar, but you're right. That's probably another thread.

not this crap again.

All that describes maybe 50% of kids, depending on age.

The whole "Indigo" thing is ludicrous. It's a racket dreamed up by that Australian broad. Either she's stupid enough to actually believe it, or she's smart/cynical enough to exploit the theory to make money.

Either way, she will undoubtedly end up being a millionaire.

Very, very sad that some people don't see through this "Indigo" stuff. I hope one or two believers might re-examine it more critically, before lumbering their children with the tag. I can see, clear as day, in about 10 years we're going to have all these kids being raised, having been told they are "Indigos", ie that they are somehow better than other kids.

Oh god not more Indigo nonsense...

That list describes almost all the kids in my home town and even myself when i was younger.

It's nonsense, but fast spreading nonsense.

I did a big thread in short stories section, and even a thread in this section about the fakeness of idigos. I agree totally that they are just sugar hungry, social outcasts, and xbox addicts. Maybe not the outcast part because it seems to be the norm nowadays.

Hey that describes me perfectly!!! I must be an indigo!!! hahaha

That list pretty much describes a lot of people out there.

Eniac - I hope that never happens, because one thing we do not need more of in this world is more divideness between everyone in the world.
