Interesting video of Obama's talk yesterday about health care reform and the importance of getting legislation passed by the fall.
As he says, healthcare reform has been discussed since the days of the Truman administration. Far from being "too soon," as some critics say, the
U.S. is falling further and further behind every year that legislation is delayed.
Health care costs keep rising and rising until more and more people lose their insurance coverage or have less coverage than they need to prevent a
financial disaster in the case of a serious illness.
At the same time, more and more employers are having to eliminate health insurance coverage for their employees and/or have to cut back on the number
of their workers.
Far from being "rushed," this reform has been a long, long time in coming.
Attempts at "delay" are attempts to squash any reform altogether.
