Osborne would scrap 'failed' FSA

A Conservative government would abolish the Financial Services Authority and hand regulation back to the Bank of England, George Osborne has confirmed.

The shadow chancellor told BBC One's Andrew Marr show the system of banking regulation set up by Gordon Brown had "patently failed".

for a while i thought conservatives were doing well with winning people back to their cause, then they drop this bombshell..

im fairly sure its the banks that got the world into the monetary mess its in, and removing the independent governing body and letting banks run it all them selfs!

it just smells of bad.
